The 2nd round of the SEQ Interclub

Hello All,
Please get your Entries in for the Second round of the SEQ Interclub Competition on the 15th and 16th of June at the Sunshine Coast.
Cost of entry is the same as the first round, we are also buying trophies for a demo class of F1's (no mini's sorry). The F1's will be the same rules as Meakin ran, which are OZ rules, please correct me if I am wrong.

Please tell me and I will add your names here.

There will also be raffle prizes on the day.

Regards Graham

Hey fellas.
I'm keen on coming down to the inter club at the sunny coast. Does anyone know if you can run a Fantom motor in stock?

Hi Luke (sorry if I got your name wrong),

The Fantom D3.5 (purple/black motor) for 17.5t is not legal for stock racing (all D3.5 based 17.5t motors are not legal), but if you are racing superstock class (both 10.5t and 13.5t D3.5 based motors) are legal.

Hope that helps.

Leonard.

Thanks for the explanation Leonard!

So I'll need to buy another 17.5 motor. Are we going to keep running 17.5 at club meets or will we be moving to 13.5 in the future?

If so, I'll run mod at the inter club to save buying another motor.

Not sure what will be run at club level for stock. But I used 13.5t in superstock at Logan interclub. The speed was down on the others (using 10.5t) and the punch out of a corner wasn't there, but it was ok.

At the SC interclub, if you decide to run mod with 13.5t boosted. IT will be okay for speed on straights, but will lack punch/rip out of turns. BUt it will be smooth. NO idea on boosted settings though for that motor.

What esc do you have? I can lend you a motor if you need.

I have a HW V3. Thanks for the offer but I wouldn't do that.

I have a 4.5t to use in mod if I have to but I'd rather run stock if I can. I just didn't want to buy a new 17.5t motor only to find out that we'll be using 13.5t in the near future.

Thanks for the help!

Anyone keen on looking into some endurace off road racing? Anywhere from a couple of hours to longer... I think it would be a blast. Making sure your truck is up to scratch, gearing right so you can run longer between battery changes and not requiring motor/esc cool downs, tire changes/choosing the right tire for grip/endurance and so forth. Mandatory pit stops to encourage participants to eat, re-hydrate etc....

Just something a mate and I were discussing last night. Sounded a bit more fun to us than the standard few minute races... Would be fairly involved with lots to work out. Would be wise to run as two mean teams or something so as to rotate martials etc.

Eh, just brain storming anyway.. Does this sort of thing already exist?
