Go Andrew, well done ;)

Ybakoff 07-12-2004 03:01 AM

I don't think there club members. They come from a Hobby shop near homebush.

People who can't even justify their actions or engage in a civilised debate.

mmm I think perhaps somebody may have a guilty conscience.

Well, that did not last long.
You should try talking to them face to face.
We have at St Ives and they are real charmers. Dont care about anyone. The damage they cause gives them a buzz.
I doubt that they would belong to any club as none of them can drive.

Molky 07-12-2004 05:17 AM

Hmm makes you wonder how intelligent these people really are. We just rebuilt our track (Illawarra) two weekends ago. I have just been informed that it has been pretty much destroyed by bikes over the weekend after all the rain we've had. Makes you wonder why we bother with the time, effort and money. Im sick to death of this shit

Ogier 07-12-2004 05:33 AM

I thought your first long post on Nitro Buggies was fair and respectable. I understand your plight, trying to keep your track operational for your race meets on the weekends.

Simply deleting it without explanation isn't very nice from the nitrobuggies moderator either but in a way is their prerogative (sp?). I find that site to be almost completely for the liverpool members.

If they won't post an announcement asking people to respect the tracks which club members put time, effort and money into maintaining, then just return the favour if they ever have the same problem :)

Oggy.

1/8 th buggies

Maybe it should be remembered that this is donated land u race on if u dont want nitro buggies on it buy it put up a fence and have a key entry system ........ otherwise give it a rest on something u have no control over!

Bugle 07-12-2004 08:13 AM

Maybe it should be remembered that the club members pay to use this land and to maintain these tracks. I think we have a right to be pissed off when our track gets destroyed by freeloaders.

What a pointless statement!! The land might be free, but the thousands of dollars worth of good quality surface dirt isn't, and either is ppl's time when they have to come and clean up time and time again after wankers driving heavy, slow useless 1/8th scales!! Our tracks are TOO SMALL!

Basically the way i see it, 1/8th scale drivers seem to be the bogan element. We have quite a few here in SA, they are more than happy to destroy things, but ask them to help clean up, damn these boys can pack up these little whipper snipers and run!!

I am sorry but 1/8th guys, show some ****ing respect.

There are two issues being confused here!

1) Damage to offroad tracks.

2) 1/10th electric drivers who dont like 1/8th gas cars.

Ok there are plenty of 1/8th buggy owners who do not belong to any club yet get out to various tracks for a run. Unless they are breaking any laws (eg trespassing on PRIVATE property) there is not much you can do about it, except harass them to join your club...

Why hassle a legitimate 1/8th buggy club who have the same problems you have???? Kids on BMX bikes do more damage than any RC vehicle. Do you think members of the 1/8th track are going to want to run on your 1/10th track? Of course not! The drivers you complain about probably have never been to a race meet in their life.

Stop behaving badly and try getting on better with fellow RC clubs. The 1/8th tracks may be able to give you tips on how to make your tracks more bullet proof!
