Yeah we were down there for a look today and the ranger questioned some of the guys as to what type of cars they were running...He can't keep that up forever though...

And did it look nice andrew. Did you like it.

why don't you guys bring this up in the liverpool club's nitrobuggies.com forum?

these are all valid points and would gain wider audience if brought up in the right website.
(i believe some or most of the 1/8 racers frequenting St Ives & CH have visited and raced in liverpool before).

Everyone,

We, the 1/10th scale offroad clubs in Sydney, have been having trouble lately with some 1/8th scale cars using our tracks (both at St Ives and Castle Hill). As you guys know, a fair bit of time and money goes into creating a surface that is worth racing on and as such when it gets destroyed most of us aren't all that impressed.

Usually when one or two cars use a track every now and then it's not too bad, however when you have 5 or 6 guys running on a track for entire days on a regular basis its causing a fair bit of damage, especially when our tracks aren't built to withstand the punishment of the larger, heavier 1/8th scale buggys and monster trucks.

We would appreciate, if anyone is using either of these tracks (or any other 1/10th scale only tracks in Sydney or Australia really), if you could please not do so. In the same fashion as you guys probably don't like local kids with motocross bikes destroying your track, we don't like larger scale cars destroying ours.

If you know of anyone that is using the tracks, please let them know that the damage that they cause is not appreciated and politely suggest that they lay off.

I am under the impression that employees of a shop in the Sydney area are partly involved in this, and if they read this again - please don't use our tracks.

Appreciate your understanding...

Andrew

This is what I just posted, lets see if this one lasts more than 1/2 an hour.

Well said.

Andrew_XXXs 07-12-2004 02:37 AM

And this...ladies and gentlemen, is what you get when you politely suggest that what they are doing isn't particularly considerate.

People who can't even justify their actions or engage in a civilised debate.

mmm I think perhaps somebody may have a guilty conscience.

Jaybo 07-12-2004 02:48 AM

if the people doing it wernt involved in that forum then they wouldnt be able to ban you ;)

Direct_X 07-12-2004 02:49 AM

If you are sure it is the 1:8th drivers from that club why don't you contact the President of the club and let him know?

Timmy_G 07-12-2004 02:51 AM

they're too busy sniffing the petrol to theyre slow heavy piece's of crap.

Ybakoff 07-12-2004 02:56 AM

Re-posted with this...

Oh Mr Moderator...
Now now, that was a little spineless wasn't it. As was deleting my earlier post. Whats up?? can't engage in a little healthy debate? or do you just know that what you're doing is inconsiderate?

For everyone else...here's my original post...

Everyone,

We, the 1/10th scale offroad clubs in Sydney, have been having trouble lately with some 1/8th scale cars using our tracks (both at St Ives and Castle Hill). As you guys know, a fair bit of time and money goes into creating a surface....

I don't know that it is anyone from that club, and I'm not actually suggesting that it is someone from that club (although them banning me and deleting posts makes it a little obvious). The post was just to point out to them that there are guys doing this to the tracks and that it would be nice if they thought twice before ruining our surface.

It was more an FYI and request that if they knew anyone who was doing this it would be good to stop.

Having said this also, there was one post in reply just before I was banned which said something along the lines of

We are currently working on our track which you are welcome to use!!! In the meantime thanks for the use of yours.
To which I replied that we were less than impressed with this. At all times I was very polite in my language, however they still saw fit to ban me. I'll just keep posting until the mod gets sick of banning all my different user ids. I've even got quite a range of IP addresses I can use so they can't even ban me by IP
