WHICH SERVO?

WHICH OF THESE WOULD BE BEST FOR 1/10TH BUGGY
I need one that the deadband can be adjusted as there seems to be some wandering of the signal from the reciever
Futaba S9551
hitec hs-7775MG
KO propo PDS-2511
Ko-propo PDS-2413
cost IS a factor
But I like the small size of the TRUE "low profile"

Steve, i know a few guys are now using the Blue Bird servos from Hobby King, great on the budget and good quality, Metal Gear, High Speed, more than enough torque and CHEAP!

Yeah I was thinking of them but I have gone for the Scanner servos from HK before and they were $40+, (that's an expensive servo from HK), thinking of goint for a reputable manufacturer which can be programed
don't mind spending $70+ for a good one

I know the guys were getting good ones for around $30, St Ives lads using them. If you keep a page open for a while on Hobby King they thave a lil pop up box appear with a discount price :D

Dunno I didnt have any there... what are you after is it imperative to be digital there are quite a few on the market.. Also look at the Savoxes..

old_skoolie 06-10-2010 04:39 AM

Looked at the savoxs
situation is that my buggy does not center accuratly 100% of the time
Tried 2 servos, no difference
tried 3 recievers, no difference
checked V output of transmitter pot, within 1 mV
VARIATION OF DEFLECTION IS PROPORTIONATE TO EXPONENTIAL OF STEERING, therefore rulling out binding steerring
thought is to increase neutral band so the deflection is not relevent

No, I'm unique, so my case workers tell me
even looking at a $500+ Futaba 3vcs setup
but if I do, I'll be looking at the divorce courts:lol::lol:
May try swapping throttle and steering pots on the transmitter next
really starting to bug me

I agree,
problem is, it's the most expensive part

vikingen 06-10-2010 05:14 AM

ive got 4 of those ko low profile servos, obviously for 1/10th steering use. awesome servos. no dramas.

won't touch any more ko's for 1/8 offroad use ever again. killed my 4th and final one at the recent state titles  ..was using full size ones rated between 12kg and 15kg.
