ive got 4 of those ko low profile servos, obviously for 1/10th steering use. awesome servos. no dramas.

won't touch any more ko's for 1/8 offroad use ever again. killed my 4th and final one at the recent state titles  ..was using full size ones rated between 12kg and 15kg.

which low profile ones are you using, the 2511 or 2413?

vikingen 06-10-2010 05:48 AM

Yes they are but like the KO's I have still and my near 11 year old 2.4 they stand the test of time.. cheap is short term and can at times be more expensive in the long run.. KO is OK;)

I use Ko-propo PDS-2413 they are pricey but they are worth it.
They are top quality and you can buy spare parts for them unlike most servo's on the market

situation is that my buggy does not center accuratly 100% of the time
Tried 2 servos, no difference
tried 3 recievers, no difference
checked V output of transmitter pot, within 1 mV
VARIATION OF DEFLECTION IS PROPORTIONATE TO EXPONENTIAL OF STEERING, therefore rulling out binding steerring
thought is to increase neutral band so the deflection is not relevent

did you replace your servo saver? Most of the time that's the issue with centreing issues

anyway I just started using the x-core servos from topracing.com.au and they are great price vs features. Coreless too so they last longer than the ko 2413 I replaced

replaced servo saver with a B4 servo arm, so it's not that, process of swaptronics has me thinking the tranny is wandering, however I can't afford $500+ for a Futaba 3VCS
Programmable servo seems the way to go

So if you try another servo and that doesn't woek you're back to getting a new Transmitter.

You are willing to comprimise a little on the servo, so why can't you get a cheaper transmitter? If you know the transmitter is the problem, change it. Good 3PK's aren't anywhere near $500!!

I don't know how many cars you have setup, but by the time you get say 3 or 4 servos to fix the problem, you have payed as much as a new transmitter Steve.

YGPM.

I have that Futaba 9551 in my Blowie has been fantastic, thanks Roman. But I also have the digital version of the Hi-Tec one (name escapes me) that everybody uses in nitro and that has been bloody brilliant, until it started gloitching on me the other day, but I sorted that out, a wiring issue.

They are both about the same price.

Nick
