Simple... best track/club gets all the meetings....:sneaky:

If the Helles club would accept an electric event like MECA then Helles would get a resonable share of electric events.

Alot of the good RC meetings during thr year reuire the ability the run Nitro and Electric classes, not many clubs support this format in NSW.

your joking right?

there are fewer specialist clubs in nsw than ones who cater for the lot - nsw is not just sydney:p

thanks contact... u have taken all my bait...!!!! i'll have to lay some more.

But...

Summer Nats / Winter Nats - hosted only by Kambah or EC. Why?

Tamworth was another great venue, still one of the best pernament tracks around. Lost momentum with big events after poor visitor and club member attendance. I remember going all the way to Tamworth to race aganst the same 10 people i raced with in Sydney a week earlier. I think we have 1 or 2 events there later this year.

Illawarra will no doubt become another great venue with ur new track on the way.

Any clubs capable of hosting the pirized events need to step forward and hassle promoters and run 1 or 2 or the big events.

Eastern Creek and Illawarra Have identical Venues you know with Illawarra having the advantage with a huge sealed parking area ,the early birds can setup undercover and not to mention a nice cool Sea breeze on those HOT summer days. and its all just a hours drive down a freeway
thats at our Current Venue (Berkekely)
when we have our new track up and runing things will only get better again:nod:

Has Illawarra put thier hands up for the second round of MECA, walter wants to run it at EC but it is not wanted.

i did mention to walter last year that we could take it on, if given enough warning (we have to work in with the netballers during their playing season) he said he would have a look at what we do, but we have not seen him...

what are the dates for the 3rd round?

With mecca reduced to only 2 rounds now, walter's wallet will be gettin sick. now would be a good time to approach him for a round of mecca. He is bound to be interested...

Be warned tho.. He will only show up to collect the money on the day.. its up to u to enforce the no rule policy!

Craig1 03-01-2004 02:37 AM

What a croc, let him keep his Meca.

I'm surprised he doesn't charge people to watch the racing.

soc123_au 03-01-2004 03:32 AM

Walter isnt interested, I asked if he wanted Penrith to host round 2. I dont know how we would have handled it if he said yes, but he didnt seem to give a rats if there was any more rounds. I dont understand, its a licence to print money.
