Default Chassis scratch protector?

Does anyone know of a company that makes these chassis scratch protectors?

for a particular car or even a universal "cut your own size" kit maybe?

Best place is Motorcycle parts shops, they sell a pack of 3 A3 sheets of 3M clear adhesive plastic, for around $20, it can also be bought in patterns and colours. It is by far the most resilient material i have found. Apply to the chassis, and use a sharp blade to remove all the cutouts and screw holes. I also apply 2 layers to the rear 1/3 of the chassis, as this is where it wears out quicker, once it starts wearing, remove the upper layer and apply a new piece.

I see some people at Castle Hill with Velcro on the base of the Car. What does that do that's so special?

For want of something better, was using green legal tape the other day. Works well, quite abrasion resistant.

Definitely gotta go visit the bike shops.

Dave
you can also get protective film from autopro / repco / Kmart
Matrix sells it as a stick on bonnect / stone protector as well as for stopping stone chips on fiberglass flares etc etc
i run it on both my Xrays and HPI it lasts abot 6 months then gets a bit daggy but it does save the chassis
hope this helps
cheers

No, I've seen ppl using self-adhesive velcro too.

Just works like any fabric tape I guess. Still wears thru after a while.

Next thing I've been told to try is Skateboard protect sheets. (I suspect its the same 3M stuff sold at bike shops.)

Haven't got the guts to enter local skaterz shop yet...!!

Scratches? GOOD?

Not when you wear down the screws on the bottom of the car and the only way to get the stupid thing out is to try and Drill 'em.

Believe me, you never want to scratch the top off a screw.
