Some things change, and some stay the same

Funny that the fastest holdens today were built by a FORD Team

Ford team????? 888 racing is a General motors team from way back, when they came to v8's they signed lowndes who was contracted to ford. To have their driver they had to run fords. So realistically the quickest fords last year were built by a holden team

Who cares who is contracted to who. The fact is they are driving Holdens now & the results speak for themselves!!!!!

the better drivers will be up the front regardless of what they drive, sure they need the engine and the setup, but they are hardly driving ford/holdens anyway. Aussie nascar is what we should be calling it

C/mon mate, you know aswell as the rest of us that 888 had never built holdens. Other GM brands yes.......And beside Roland and Ludo maybe, who else has been involved with them prior to V8 Supercar........

And the sweetest part of this whole deal is gonna be watchin the official "Factory Team" have it's handed to it by a "Satellite Team". If the C/Dore is a superior car as stated by diehard red fans, then HRT are in real trouble coz they couldn't beat 888 when they were driving falcons .

Roland will stop at nothing to beat his old mate Tom...

Goes to show that the only way to get a Holden to go fast, is to put Commodore panels on a Falcon

im a driver fan and not fussed on the make. 2 drivers that i have supported have both jumped ship and returned (ingall and lowndes) At the end of the day its panels and engines that are different between the 2 cars, as i said before its like aussie's version of nascar. The team with the whole package will be up front at the end of the year. Next race will be interesting

888 started running fords in the V8 supercar series in 2004, lowndes joined the team in 2005, in 2004 Radisich drove for them as well as Max Wilson. Though you are correct that in the UK, 888 run GM brands, like Vauxhaul

my bad i forgot about their first year after they took over from briggs motosport

they bought the team from briggs motorsport who already had the fords. Pretty sure that radisich and max wilson were signed to briggs motorsport for 03, 04 and was part of the package when 888 took over. then when they signed lowndes they had no option but to keep running fords.

T8's great results with a brand new car does prove why they were so dominant with Fords, it clearly is a well run operation. For a long time they were the only Ford team consistently delivering good results.
