Why was it decided to be run, against the allocated ORRCA calander?

A letter was received by ORRCA asking us to include the class, it was discussed, I put forward a motion to include it at the upcoming Super Stock and Gas tourer event, everyone that was present voted yes to the motion.
It wasn't included in the September titles due to the dilution of entries in the Novice class.

Thanks mate.

Sparksy, (not having ago at you)
has anyone knocking this class stop to think that the class might be down in numbers due to it only being announced 3 weeks out from the event, and that people whom would race it might not of had time to organise a weekend off to race or not actually know about the meet if they dont get on RC Tech,
it was included in haste and that might show as a let down...How are the numbers for the rest of the event going are they as huge when it's been advertised for weeks and weeks.
I think the problem is it causing 2 state titles for one class and if anyone could run any class they want there would not be this problem........

Thats one of my points Sherif. I'm not knocking the class, but its inclusion at such late notice. I have no doubt that it would draw enough numbers to be a successful class at a state title, if it was included later in the year with the rest of the EP classes.

sorry to those I have stuffed around. I have to withdraw my nomination in the superstock due to financial pressure. I also have gigs on the Friday and Saturday night which will make it even more difficult. Good luck everyone and I'm sure Sunny Coast will put on an awesome weekend of racing like they always do.

1. Mathew Belton
2. Andrew Clough

That's my prediction! don't make a liar out of me boys!

I agree the track is in great shape.

There has been a bit of progress in other areas since I was last up here - some covered pitting space with plans to extend that. Another shed for storage, a shade roof on the drivers stand and plans approved for a new drivers stand. All good solid progress.

It's a shame more people aren't coming. I don't think anyone disagrees more than me with what ORRCA are doing at the moment but whatever they do they won't be stopping me from racing, I love big meets and do my best to get to them.

It's also a shame that money is tight for a couple of people - I guess there is going to be more of that in the coming months as jobs are shed etc - I'm certainly feeling the pinch in ActionRC as well - but I'll try to keep racing as long as possible.

In spite of the numbers I think there will be some good racing in all classes tomorrow and Sunday.

hey guys the track was great today but unfortunately the weather got the better of us with most getting only 3 heats in and some only 2 heats. Looking forward to a hopefully rain free day with qualifying and finals tomorrow.

Let us all hope and pray for fine weather tomorrow. We have a problem when we get a heavy shower, as the track takes too long to dry up because of puddles of water that get formed in some areas of the track. We have been pleading with the council for a couple of years now to give us a lease, so we can apply for sports funding and rectify the problem. We have a plan how to fix the puddles and drain the infields, but we desperately need funding first.

Kindest regards,
Lars.
