AARCMCC Super Stock Qld State Titles & ORRCA Gas Tourer Qld State Titles 2009
I would like to annouce, that as far as I know for the first time in this country, the Sunshine Coast Radio Control Car Club will be hosting the Duel State Titles of AARCMCC Super Stock Electric and ORCCA Gas Tourer Titles
(0n Road)
on the 28th to the 29th of March. For photos and videos of our track you can go to WWW.SCRCCC.COM
I would like to thank both of these organisations for allowing us to run this joint event, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for either Peter Ellis (AARCMCC) or John Hansen (ORRCA) to get this sorted out quickly.
I am sure it will be a great event.

Mmmm that superstock class could be an interesting one. 19 turn class at some of the interclub rounds over the past couple of years has been a competitive mix of fast stock and a couple of the best mod drivers (and Anthony as well ), and often a couple of full heats.
The only electric state title on offer for the weekend means no serious competitive distractions for the best ep only racers, as sometimes happens to the potential 19 turn runners on the interclub weekends.
My superstock predictions are for maybe three heats (or who knows, even more), a super competitive A final, possibly entries from interstate, and ultimately an established modified driver to win it.
This class should generate plenty of interest.

Just to add, the dates for this event will be the 28th to the 29th of March.
Control Tyres are yet to be decided, some input here would be good from drivers.
And my tip for the Gas tourers, could be Hesham (hope that is spelt correctly)again, but Peter Giblin will be hard to beat at his home track.
And I am wondering which of the two classes will be faster over the five minute mark, they are comparative to each other speed wise I believe.

I would also hope that this event will attract visitors from out of State and maybe even overseas.
To just explain the events Super Stock is 10.5 brushless motors or 19 turn brushed, run to AARCMCC rules and the ORRCA Gas Tourers are any rolling chassis run to ORRCA Gas Rules with OS TG engines as a control engine.
The ORRCA rules for Gas Cars are similar to AARCMCC some exceptions at the past event have been made for exhausts not being listed exhausts as long as they have a 5.2 mm outlet.

agreed keith, its not a bad class in the right circumstances.
after watching some adds on tv i feel i might have a motor advantage over you already... i will be keeping my stock motor super by storing it only with modified motors and well away from love ballads and manbladers.

Accommodation
Should anyone want to know accommodation details just type in Sunshine Coast accommodation or Landsborough accommodation. Caloundra is about 15mins away but is right on the beach. Landsborough is the suburb of our track and Beerwah is about 10 mins away.
The beach will magnificent that time of year, its a good place for a weeks holiday and Caloundra has some of the best surf and swimming beaches in the world.
So come and relax for a week and then get tense (in a relaxing sort of way)for the last two days racing at our track.
