LOL

geez, what is timmy's thread actually about?...i have read some of da posts....pointless discussions....

yeah anyway...

Back to the battery subject....

If you charge 33's @ 6 amp can it get more voltage but less runtime?

What about @ 4 amp, will the opposite happen?

Or will you just stuff them up?

yes your corect,,less amps = more run time, more amps more punch. but best not to fluctate too much as you dont want to give the cells a memory.

what do you mean by memory effect? so once you charge the batts then you have to keep on charging them the same way?

what will the memory effect do?

can you charge the packs differently to suit the motor for eg. stock and mod...stock at a higher rate?

Memory effect is when you neglect to discharge(down to 5.4v for 6 pack) or equalize your cells and just keep charging them up. Each cell in the pack slowely changes and becomes more and more unmatched, this combined, causes the pack to start losing voltage and mah.

I find this quote funny cos u wouldnt be caught dead with a slow car or an old pack or motor, like u said, whats the point in racing with a slow car

Thats correct NOFX .. i did say that..

But i was refering to myself..

Why would we have 540, G20 , MOD.

Not becaue ppl want to race slower classes. but because ppl cant handle the speed. Consistency is faster than the straight. and a new driver : Eg Trent with a mod would be slower than if he was using a 540.

thats why iam saying "slower is faster"

absolutely, but ur talking to a guy who by the sounds of it, TQ'd ur stock class and was leading the final, not a newbie who doesnt understand its better to run a 540 than a 6 turn mod

hey peeps,

thanks doggy n fart - so after each run you should discharge even for Nimh?

yah see painy..like Nofx said, the reason i was leading da final was consistency butthe slow car was limiting me on the straight and punch. In the first lap everyone was right on my tail till they hit a dome and rolled away, and thats when you hit the sweeper dome....although im not that good at lapping traffic.

Painy, I know i may be a newbie compared to you but i dont have trouble handling fast stocks...maybe 13 triples but thats a different story.

Im pretty sure it was my friends speed control...i think its blown up because even with my monsta in his car it was slow....his batts are 3 grands and new.
His speed control is a gm racing v4 i think.....does anyone find this Esc to break easily?

He is looking to buy a new one that can take mods as well....he was looking at the LRP quantum....any suggestions?

Didn't he TQ over you....... there's obviously something there....

414m2 - Yer discharge them after each run if possible but don't store them discharged.
