Hi There,
I would like to spend some time racing at Brendale, does anyone living around a 15 minute drive from the track have a large block or even acreage that I could park a 25ft caravan on, it's fully self contained so just need water & power hook up, there are no half decent parks nearby.
I am happy to pay a weekly fee for the privilege 👍
Cheers

Attention members
There will be a working bee this Saturday 25th June.
We'll be prepping the facility for the up coming AARCMCC Qld IC titles and making some headway into the other jobs that need doing before the major events later in the year.
The committee have been working hard to bring these major events to our great club and we now need your help to get the facility looking tip top.
The job list
Wash down the track
Trim back all the trees, mulch and take to tip.
Spray paint start finish line.
Barrier modifications.
Mount new pit screen monitors.
Run cable for monitors.
Clean all benches, paint and repair where necessary.
Weed spray and whipper snip fence line.
Finish painting pit wall.
+ the other jobs I can't think of at the moment.
Does anyone have a good pole saw?
Does anyone have a friend with a mulcher and truck?
Getting close to membership time again, so this will be a good opportunity for those of you looking to work up some Facility Improvement Credits.
Let's do this!!!!

Any decision on GT control tyres yet?
#7521
GT control tyre for the AARCMCC Qld IC titles will be the Sweep 45 EXP. We finalised some finer details at tonights committee meeting. The basics are the club has ordered all the control tyres and entrants will purchase their tyres for the competition through the club. Updated entry form will be up in the next day or two.

Working bee tomorrow lads.
I'll be there about 7.30 and we'll do a bacon and egg cook up for brekky for the early birds.
Big thanks to Darren V for arranging a buddy to come down Saturday arvo to chip and remove all the tree waste.
Also a big thanks to Wal for knocking over a heap of the whipper snipping today.
Working bees show how much you care about EPR so lets make it a good turn out fellas.
See ya'll there.

I reckon a 32 or 28 tyre would have to be the go now. It's 6 weeks since we last raced an ep Saturday, and it was still a pretty warm autumn at that stage. I still preferred my sorex 36's then over rush 28's, but I think a few guys were liking 32's.
If Saturday is even close to being as cold as the last few days, then I plan on running sorex 28's, or maybe some rush 28's. Just remember that 28's do wear faster than 32 or 36 tyres, but they typically grip better when the track is colder, and can maintain temperature in the tyre easier during the run (and therefore keep gripping through the 6 minutes). Tyre wear has been low this year at brendale, so the 28 and 32's should still last for plenty of runs.
Long story short, I would go with a sorex 28, always been a grippy tyre this time of year. Rush and volante 28's worthy tyres also. Any of these brands in a 32 might work for you as well. Hope this helps!
