thanks for the info grizz!

i got the ultimate clutch setup so i would have a few spares. it has alloy shoes as well as the standard shoes and 3 sets of clutch springs. .9 / 1 / 1.1

Motor and pipe look real nice together, cant wait to get some fuel through it. Would look even better if the fly wheel was black and not blue :) ah well.

Will wait for the kit to show up if it comes with a clutch bell, saves stuffing around with the other engine.

I would check my other car for clutch orientation but its in storage atm, since we just moved house. Still in the process of getting everything here as we are trying to paint the house before all the crap is in it.

Waiting patiently!

Yeah - just do it bro  All my sick leave bar a couple of days in the last 2 years has been to go racing with the boys somewhere. That's what it's for isn't it
Most of my leave and holiday entitlememnts get used up for racing. That's the trouble when you work a rotating Day/Night shift system, you end up working weekends every 6 weeks or so, but that's where the leave comes in - right :)

Managed to annoy the neighbours with a couple of tanks through the new gen5.5 yesterday:sneaky:Your right Grizz, the pinch doesn`t seem as tight as my previous 7Port:)Still preheating and a long way to go,but from what I have seen so far,the Muggy is in for a fright when I finally get on the tune:eek:

Oh Yeah

It's hard trying to run anything outdoors with the current weather. Hoping for a break in the rain for a couple of days over the weekend so we can get the track mopped up and have some racing on Sunday. 50/50 chance at this point in time. Forecast for Sat doesn't look good :(

mattwoodcraft 06-30-2009 06:26 PM

yea the weather here to very ordanary no racing at all:cry: but the cars have been stripped down rebuilt and ready to roll :D

The black factory one is 8mm, the same as the red one in the restrictor kit.

Start with the Silver one which is 7mm. This will give you more than enough grunt plus reasonable economy too.
Ultimately, for smooth power and the best economy you will end up with the Gold 6.5mm restrictor fitted. I run the 6.5 on both my motors and it provides more than enough power while giving up to 12 min run times depending on ambient conditions.
Sound like your getting close now mate
