Use the ceramic balls from the original RDX diff. They are slightly smaller in size and work better than the new optional ones in the 08 diff.

I plan on running the spool to start with but may change to one way if needed.

At Fairy Meadow on the Sorex 36's, personally i've never really deviated far from kit.

Front Link - Kit
Front Shock Mounting - Kit Tower & Arm
Front Spring 19lbs
Front Oil 40 wt (3 Hole Tamiya Pistons)
Wheelbase Front Kit
Droop 4mm over ride height

Rear Link - Bottom Row outside (tower) / Outside on hub
Shock Mounting (Kit Arm / Tower Layed in one hole from kit)
Rear Spring 17lbs
Rear Oil 30 wt (3 hole Tamiya Pistons)
Wheelbase Rear All spacers behind arm (short)
Droop 3mm over ride height

Should be a pretty good starting set up for Spec Classes. Come see us at the track any time. Im sure Simon &/Ari can also provide some setups & they may well be available on www.teamcorally.com.au.

Cheers

RDX Phi 2

http://www.redrc.net/2009/01/exclusi...lly-rdx-phi-2/

Looks interesting.

Mounts for lipo batteries
Looks like they've raised/redesigned the bulkheads to suit lipos.
New arms mounts
New rear hubs.
Drive train ratio still the same.

Looks alright. How ever i think ill be keeping this Phi, perhaps just invest in the new rear hubs.

Well anyway Ive almost finished the build. Just waiting on one replacement part. And the best part, my SMC 4000's fit perfectly with out using the tray :D

I ordered the alloy narrow steering blocks for the Phi. Now the wheel hexes wont tighten enough so theres heaps of movement with the cvds.

Do i need to get other hexes now to fix the play ?

SchuMi2 01-13-2009 09:25 PM

You need to buy the shorter axles...
