Just a quick question when i have been racing my corally the first couple of mins i've found it to be very taily and then it comes good what can i do to get rid of this? I don't have sway bars and i don't use tyre warmers. thanks

First I would try a traction additive I use Trinity Death Grip for rubber tyres (they also have additive for foam tyres).

The next option would be to try a lower temp tyre

Cheers

Definatly tyre warmers and traction compound will solve the problem.

A quick fix will be to do as many laps as you can before the start of the race to get some heat into the tyres.

OK guys back from thailand now. What a wild time i had hehe. Ok firstly the car was superb, got there on the first couple of days made a few modifications and was as quick as masami and the other top guys. Then on the last day of practice they decided to spray the track throwing all our setups out of the window, eventually we got the car going very good again by the last qualifier plus having some difficulties in the qualifiers. Starting from 8th on the B MAIN grid each final was difficult as i had to get passed some of the worlds best drivers which the corally was well capable of, i ended up coming 2nd in the first final, 4th in the second and 2nd again in the last final. The car was absolutely superb in the finals and i have great confidence for it at the World Championships.

Can you please share your setup from Thailand.

We had a pre-race for the Reedy yesterday at Speedworld and I am still interested in long track setups.

Thanks.

Bill

Hey Simon,

Just got myself a PHI and going to be running at littlehampton, with your set up sheet you have 3.5 front and 30 rear. Is that meant to be 3.0mm rear ? Also does a downstop gauge from the chassis to the arm give the same result as blocks ?
