Firstly thankyou to all that have offered their advice & support,both here, via PM's & in person, it is much appreciated & I will endeavour to put into place as many suggestions as is possible.

Some updates.
As I have previously said, discussions are still ongoing between all the related parties in regards to a suitable lease for everybody concerned. Whilst there has been some progress, there has not been enough for me to be able to say much more, needless to say I am the most anxious one to have this part sorted as I cant do too much more until it is.

Ill try to answer as many questions below as I can, with the info that I have. If i've missed something, please pm or post here & I will answer asap.

1) Have I decided on a surface?
Not entirely, there is alot of push for carpet, but im not sure that the $$$ are ther to support the fitout & maintenence initially.

2) What classes will be run?
The answer to this to a great extent relies on what the racers will want. I anticipate running 2 meets per week, covering MOD, Stock, a 540 class, novice, F1, 1/12. Depending on demand, this could be increased / decreased.

3) Have I decided on a schedule?
Not entirely, but at this stage, alot of people are asking for Friday nights.

4) Will I run at the same days as Eastern Creek?
No. Saturday meets would be on Eastern Creeks weeks off. I think the two types of facility would compliment each other well & dont see the point in making racers choose between the two. Besides, I like racing at the "Creek:)

5) Do I intend to hold any "big meets"
Yes :D

6) Will you run next years TCS?
A little early for that one. TCS is a great series, with great sucsess & I think it deserves to be held in great facilities. I have no doubt that we will have the facilities for it, but the hosting of TCS is not on the radar.

7) Do you need employees?
Most likely. For those who have put their hand up, sit tight. I will advise in due course.

Well trev i dont think that is fair, this guy is setting up a businees, im sure you can understand from the hill. Personally i doubt that this new venue will detract a great deal from the hill, ie too far away, the hill is generally for local/newer racers, most experienced people dont run at the hill anymore. You will always keep your local heroes.

BF will die during winter when it is unlikely you will get a dry warm night, and CMC will definately attract a different crowd.

As a business AIERS will need to go down the path that will ensure success for his enterprise, racing during the weekcan be difficult, friday night is pretty much the only weekday night you can run properly.

Having the weekend events on an alternate weekend is a briliant idea, allows us who like fast open tracks to race as well.

Good luck with everything im sure there are many people that share my sentiments, and look forward to racing there, and from what i have heard very few detractors.

Besercoe: That didn't take long; every body have given there ideas on what direction this venue should take. I have done like wise. Seems that people may have been leading A.I.E.R.S on. I was just informing him that he would have competition in get people to race at his track on Friday due to three other tracks that race on the same night. I don't know if he was awere of that or not. So I am showing the hand of friendship like everybody else has.

By your words sounds like you have a problem with the Hill no one else.

huh, where did that come from, i have/do race at the hill ever since your very first night. I was pointing out a fact that the majority of the real guns do not race at the hill, for whatever reason.

I like the social atmosphere at the hill, and have even set up 2 cars specificaly for the hill.
