Guys i would like to get some clarification of some rules, this year u were told that last years winner had bump started his engine in pull start, this year the same thing happened again with at least 3 cars in A main and one car did not even have a working pull start. So i would like to no what r the rules 4 this class. As some people can't read. All People would like is a even playing field.

Please Clarify as to why these rules have been made and the club does nothing about it

Thanks

Well the way i see it is, It says on the noms form that you must start the car with the pullstart or electric start, Now to me that means starter boxes are electric start. Now the other thing is if the class is called pullstart then all cars must have a pull cord and started not with any type of electric start system then.

Thats my opinion.

Cheers

the reason they say electric start is for rtr cars like hpi who use the roto start wand, so that they have a class they can participate in..are you going to throw in a rs4 in with pro tourer, not likely as they have larger then .12 motors anyway. It says quite clearly no starter boxes in brackets at end of sentence in noms form.
It be nice to see some standard rules for this class to keep it simple to encourage new drivers so they dont need to spend tons to keep up with the jones's, if people want to run high horsepower motors feel free to run in pro tourer is my opinion.

That's fine, but when i went to the state titles some of the guys were using starter boxes in the pullstart class. Now if you are not allowed to use start boxes in pullstart why didn't they disqualify or stop people from using them to start their cars. And if you run a highpowered engine in pullstart you don't have to use a starter box as it was proven by someone in Tamworth when he was questioned about running a RODY with a fake pullstart because he was starting it on the starter box, but then he started it with the pullstart.
In the end this issue is not going to be resolved.

Cheers

Yeah your right dave its not going to get resolved right now and its bit hard to argue when the rules are open to interpretation , hopefully in the near future some standard/official rules are created as the class gains more popularity. I still had a great time at the cup and hopefully make it down next year to have another crack at you southerners.

Default PULL START

1,200 K IS ALONG WAY TO TRAVEL WHEN YOU GET THERE AND YOU FIND SOME ONE HAS A CRYSTAL JUST BELOW YOURS AND THEY CLASH. IT WAS STATED THERE WAS GOING TO BE CONTROLED PRACTISE ( IN THIS THE ONLY CONTROL WAS A FREQUENCY KEY ) IN MY OPINION THIS IS NOT A CONTROLED SYSTEM (CONTROLED WOULD BE TO CHECK FREQUENCY OF EACH COMPETITOR AND HAVE THEM ON THE TRACK AT DIFFERENT TIMES) AS MY CAR RECEIVED INTERFERENCE EACH TIME I WENT OUT TO PRACTISE BY THE TIME WE SORTED OUT THE PROBLEM ) THE MOTOR HAD BEEN DAMAGED BY MY CAR TAKING OFF INTO MID AIR AND HITING THE FENCE AT FULL REVS . ALSO I WENT TO GREAT LENGTHS TO BY A PULL START ENGINE TO COMPLY WITH THE RULE ( NO STARTER BOX ALLOWED) AND THE REST IS HISTORY. AS FOR RULES, IN REGARDS OF THE PULL START THING, I ASKED THE QUESTION AND WAS TOLD WE ARE NOT RACING IN A TITLE MEETING SO WE CAN CHOOSE WHAT WE WANT TO DO WITH OUR RULES WE'RE ONLY HAVING FUN AND AS LONG AS THE PULL START IN OPERATIONAL THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY LIKE
