I got this from the streetcommodores.com.au forums so anyone doubting the authenticity check there and have a look at the number of members shocked at having this happen to them.

Judging from what i've seen on the street commodores site this seems pretty common so it may be a good idea for you all to check the third party preferences in your ebay acount.

Go to My Account -> Preferences -> General Preferences -> Third Party Authorizations, then select any unauthorised sellers there and click Revoke Authorization.

Same thing, had a third party authorisation added on the 13 November 06, gone now

I just checked my acct and I had not one but TWO Third Party Authorisation. WTF!? :flaming:
Immediately revoked them.

1. AuctionBlox.com ( created 15-Oct-06)
2. AuctionWorks ( created 27-Oct-06)

Ebay should at least notify the account owner whenever a Third Party authorisation is set up. This is absurd.
What happens next?
Do we have to regularly check our accounts to ensure no new 3rd party authorisation is created without our knowledge?

I had the same thing, had a third party authorisation added on the 10 November 06, been revoked.

No authorisations to revoke.

I guess im in the clear :sweat:

Found an auctionworks in my ebay too ....bastards!

I checked mine and all clear (for now). That is why i got rid of paypal and only buy stuff on ebay via direct deposit. The risk is too high.
