hey guys, went down to the track today, it was in really good nick, plenty of grip, not much debris on it, just a few twigs, so i gave the xx4 heaps, the X2000 on the rear were absolutely dialled, moved from blockheads to a nice new set of holeshots on the front, which after another 6 packs through them looked very second hand, more like 4th hand, my car held up well, didn't break anything even though i had a few little stacks, i ran the spektrum micro receiver, no dramas, and love that i dont need an antenna tube, so i wont put a hole for it in the new body. Oh then Marg and Tony stopped by to say gday and tony put down some hot laps also

Really looking forward to next weekend, i'll be down there on the saturday, doing some more testing of the 4wd and hopefully getting the gas truck up and running (as long as we're allowed to run them on the saturday), catchyas then

Michael

Hey Michael Im using micro rx's aswell but I use an antenna tube, only very short but it still doesnt come out the body. Do you just run yours along the body somewhere?

Was going to come down for some practice today but ended up going on a mothers day outing to the Lindt shop... mmmmm

Cant wait til next weekend!

Hey Mikey, saw your car there as I drove to Mum's!

Holeshots are my favourite at St Ives but last like 2 runs before they start going south! I hope Jconcepts hurry up their testing of those Truck holeshots and then release the buggy version.

Tom and I have had some good results using silver blockheads. You don't need all the grip of the reds, so the silvers seem to last really well.

If you like X2000s on the rear, definitely try the X3000s. They're even better, and seem to last even longer. Wohoo!

Would be good to have you up and running in Truck next weekend mate. FIngers crossed it all comes together.

Hi all,

Just thought i'd let you know how we went at the SMA round of the Challenge Cup today.

Paul came 5th in the Stock B Final
Adam came 6th in the Stock A Final
And I got a 4th in the Modified A Final

It was a huge day and alot of fun and great driving too, pity we could not get some more along, but the Illawarra round is in a month and I'll be going, so we'll try get some more numbers eh

Cheers,
Daniel

P.S. Can't wait for the next club round.

Nice, yeah ive got 2 sets of x-3000 i'll glue up for the meeting, i figured they'd be a good thing, yeah i like the blockheads, though i had understeer worse with them than the holeshots, but it'll be setup more than anything, i'll work on it, though i really do miss sprint fronts, they were the fav tyre, such a shame they're gone. You coming down sat? if so i might have to use your or someone's experience with the nitro to get it running

Hey jerome, with the xx4, theres a good size spot for the rx so i just let the antenna sit there just under the body, but yeah theres no dramas running a tube, its probably better

cyas there on sat, looking like it'll be a big weekend, hope for good weather
