Just one question Damage Control, why would you waste your valuable points on Wynnum where there are more deserving clubs out there? Just wondering.

Ouch, Gee that’s a bit harsh on those Bayside members. Feels like a bit of a “Karate chop” over the back of the head!
Listen, not sure why you only picked Bayside out of my post as you obviously have your own issues with Bayside, and as I personally don’t drive their regularly don’t care. I will endeavour to make my point clear for you.
Rules Should Be:
A. You need to be a current affiliated member with one or more of the clubs which participate in Interclub.
B. You can give your points to any club that you are an affiliated member with.
C. You must prove this upon nomination by membership card or receipt.
D. You can not award your points to a club you are not a member with.
E. If you are not a member with any of these clubs, you can not race in the interclub.

These points are pretty simple , but only my thoughts.

Thanks Rc Lunitic
(please Stiffle ,use some of your other avatars ,they are so much more fun.)

Had a great day of racing. Qualified 5th for the final, finish 2nd then was given a bullshit 10 second penalty. Then after the final the cars were scrutined and was found the 1st place finisher had an illegally modified engine and a protest was put and it was dismissed by the "interclub committee" as they didn't want any repercussions by the person involved because sometimes it is just easy to let a mango sitting on the side of the road rotting. My bullshit trophy ended up in the bin where it deserves to be because I really earned 2nd place fair and square.Because rules are made to be adheard to and not broken.:flamin g:
So i have made the decision if this is how an interclub is going to be run by "Yes Men" I will not be taking any part of it for the rest of the year.SEQ 2012 Interclub Challenge-trophy.jpg

Results have been uploaded onto the Logan website.

I am completing the spread sheet and hopefully will have that up later.

Great day racing we will see you all again tomorrow to do it all again.

I know that you rolled over the poly pipe into the other lane; but you were not alone doing that in the final, was anyone else penalised for the same thing?

Shane took trouble to go to the pits and explain why the carby protest was dismissed; and because of that I understand where the decision came from. We used the same carby in the last clubby at Brendale a week ago; and would have used it here had not been against the rules, and I know of another driver who also would have. Many thanks to Shane for being transparent about this; it helped with understanding it, but running that carby is a breach of rule 1.8: " No internal or external modifications of any kind that deviate from factory original condition including the carburetor and cooling head. (Other than maintenance and repairs and altering of head gasket shims)". A car one gram under weight would not win a race because of that; but it would still normally be looked at as a breech, and it seems perhaps a little inconsistent to allow another breech.

But all this aside; I would like to thank the club for a great day, we enjoyed the day despite the misfortune of having to pull out of the final with the clutch full of twine from some rope debris.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

I am personally offended by the destruction of the trophy

Brett I thought you where far better than that.
The 10 sec penalty did not in any way affect your final position.

The protest re 1st place was taken to the club rep's and the final vote was two abstained, two for allowing the motor and one vote
against.

Shane I'm sorry if you are offended but how do you think the rest of us gas drivers feel when at the beginning of the event you and another club member stand there and say that cars will be checked at the end of the day so everyone must make sure the they comply with the rules or suffer the consequences of being disqualified. I accept my 10 sec penalty but it is of what happened in the beginning of the final I think it would of been appropriate to served my penalty during the final. And yet the people that were dishonest and were not disqualified for the breeches to the rules that are there for this type of instance.

so modified motors are allowed in this years gas tourers.

by allowing one modified motor you will have to allow everyone to use them...

well done

Thats funny that some of the people you ask as their club reps were also running illegal engines, what if they to were caught they might go and have a cry as well, I guess that those certain party's would not like it if u took a look at there engine either

I also would like to know how u would go running the aarmac nats or an orrca title, I guess the club will also turn a blind eye to illegal motors

Come one come all run anything illegal at the nats as the powers that be want to stand tall but sits down to piss
