Big Congratulations to Ron Maya as this years Nitro X Buggy and Truggy Champion!!!

Results Buggy
1st Ron Maya
2nd Jamie O'Brien
3rd Mick Campion

Matt Griffin led out early in this race but suffered a few flameouts and loosing a lap to Ron retired. Matt Chatz placed well early dropped a driveshaft and returned to the race some laps down drove like a man posesed to come back for a well deserved 4th. After Matt Griffens retirement Ron was untouchable coming home for the win 8 laps up on second

Results Truggy
1st Ron Maya
2nd Josh Hore
3rd Alan Nankervis

Under temp lighting Ron got out to a great start with around a 3 second lead after the first lap and was never seen again. A first corner tangle saw everyone after 3rd caught up with a few on there lid, with no corner marshall it was up to the pit men to drop there stuff and go clean up. This gave the 3 lead cars of Ron Maya Matt Chatz and Brendhan Wade a strong buffer. Early retirements of Matt Chatz with a broken driveshaft and Brendhan Wade, this left Josh Hore chasing hard in second place. Alan Nankervis and Will Haynes were moving up through the pack after suffering badly on the first corner. around 30 minutes in a plaig of bugs got unbearable on the drivers stand and the race was called early leaving Ron in 1st followed by Josh and Alan

heres a pic of the bugs after the race was stopped and the dust had cleared

thats pretty much how it happened. I was marshalling on the far side of the circuit and couldnt see the drivers stand, made me think how were these guys driving the cars around at all!

thanks to Ben and Darryl and all the Barmah crew.

yeah the engine was good, it was actually a fuel tank problem, which is pretty rare on the mp9
