Thumbs up 2010 Aussiemove International Nitro Challenge 19/20 June

The 6th Annual Aussiemove International Nitro Challenge is on in 2010 with a $10 000.00 Prize pool up for grabs, some format and prize payout changes. Trucks have been included as well. Weve even opened up the Sport Buggy class, to allow more drivers in, this means you can still go home with a fistful of cash without having to win the event outright. This is something special for 2010. The V8 Supercars are on the same weekend and as the challenge is totally under lights, you can get to see the V8's at Hidden Valley as well. Its going to be an awesome weekend of motorsport, entries are limited so dont miss out, go to the website for all the info, formats, payouts and regs and the online nominations are open.

Click here to go to the website

Or you can follow the event on facebook

Heya Karl

You should find everything you need on the website, click in the menu for all the rules and format etc etc. Online nominations, accomodation lists etc etc are all there ready to go.

In regards to the trucks, as this is the first time they have been included and due to the fact that we dont see trucks here very often at all, I have made the class "Trucks Unlimited" meaning pretty much all 1/8 trucks can enter, we all know the truggy's will take it out hands down, but what I dont want to happen is some young local racer rocks up with a Revo or SC8 etc and have I to turn him away because its not a truggy, .

The Sport Buggy Class is open to all drivers excepting any known and or sponsored Pro (check the conditions on the website)

If you need anything dont hesitate to contact me here or email [email protected] or phone 0417 842744

Cheers
Hope you and a few others can make it

How about an electric class? Even demo with no prize $. Would be great to see someone get behind 1/8 electric, especially now there are so many top level competition kits available. Eg AE, Losi, HB etc.

Cheers,
Scotty P.

Hey Scott

We have a few racing here at the moment 3 or 4 not enough for a class. I allow them to run with the Nitros, in fact its looking like an elec will take out the OCR Nitro Champs Series Sport Buggy class.

I will say if there is enough interest, I would certainly put on a 1/8 elec class no probs at all, in fact I might just add it to the event with the condition as per the other classes, if you guys give me a guaranteed 10 x 1/8 elec at the event, Ill put up $1000.00 prizemoney as well

Hows that sound???????????

If only it wasnt a 1 day 20 hour (non stop) drive. must cost a bundle to get rc gear there via plane, and then you cant take fuel.

Cheers Karl I look forward to it, its been to long mate!!!!

Anyway in regards to a practice day, at this point no, but there is a short open practice session at the beginning of each night, the circuit is closed during the days and is only opened at 6.00pm.
Although if we get a full field of drivers, I will put on a timed / controlled practice session on the wednesday night.

Cheers Tony

Sounds great Tony!

I will canvass amongst some of the Sydney guys. Would be a no-brainer to get 10 electrics I reckon.

Kudos for giving so much notice too. I have a feeling this will be a very well organised event, which gives comfort when traveling so far, at significant expense.

Cheers,
Scott

Not to sure how much it costs, but the guys that travel from here seem to get their gear to where they are going at a reasonable cost. There are other ways around it tho, the circuit is located at my business premises and your gear could be freighted directly to the venue and stored here, like wise with fuel, or you could just purchase your fuel and most other things you would need at OCR Pitshop which is located at the venue.

If you did want to freight your gear up prior to the event, I personally live and work at the venue, it is secure, all you need to do is let me know its coming !!!!

Cheers

See what you come up with and let me know asap, if you think you can get enough, and rest assured you will go away from this event with a smile on your face.

Heya guys

Thought Id get on and say hi and let you know about a few extra bits of info, Ive added a couple of extra classes Trucks Unlimited, and 1/8 EP buggy, both are entry dependant need a minimum of 10 entries to run, good thing tho there is a $1000.00 prize purse for each of these as well!!!! Which brings the total prize purse to over $11000.00 aud.

And yes the V8's are on, and from what I understand are the cheapest place in the country to watch them, this year was $77 for a 3 day pass, including pit pass, and yes you can get to do it all, Nitro at Night V8's in the day!!!! Oh yeh and the weather is nice at that time of year nice and cool and dry!!!!

Ive also received a confirmed entry from Renaud Savoya last week, which is pretty cool, looking forward to turning a wheel with him!!!!

And lastly for now, if you are planning to come, you really should get in and book motels etc, because as the dates get closer things get real busy and accomodation gets quite difficult to come by. Although if you do get stuck, there are couple of guys here that have offered to put a couple of visitors up, and there are a couple of rooms here at OCR, and there is enough room to put up a few tents (theres toilets and showers etc)

Anyway guys check out the website http://www.ocrraceway.com/2010%20Res...10/AINC10.html Ive put up links in the visitor info section, for accomodation , car hire, air fares, the V8's and all the other touristy things you can get up to while youre here, and if you need anymore info dont hesitate to contact me here or email [email protected] or phone during BH 0417 842744

Cheers for now
Tony

I'm keen to race buggy and EP buggy.
My question is this....
As I am a non sponsored driver, does that mean I enter in the sport class, (GP) as i read on the website, its $100 entry sport and $150 for pro.
If by some miracle I was in the top 10, would i still qualify for the full amount of prize money, even though I only paid 100 instead of 150??

Also, if anyone from sydney is goin, I need some travelling companions, how bout you bigdog?

Hi

I know this was a grey area, and it has been addressed, I just hadnt updated the website. The extra entry fee for Pro Buggy if in fact you entered as sport or junior but got within the Top Ten would be subtracted from your Pro Buggy prizemoney payout, to make it fair for the other pro drivers that had paid the full amount and also to protect the drivers that the sport and junior classes were devised for, my apologies for not addressing it earlier. The website has been updated and the exact wording is below

(Conditions Apply - A minimum of 10 entries required for the class to run, The buggy classes are not seperated into different heats / races, the class finishing positions for each are based on outright finishing position. If a Sport Buggy driver finishes within the TOP TEN outright that driver will then be paid the Outright Pro Buggy position accordingly and the additional Pro Buggy race fee of $50.00 wil be deducted from that drivers prizemoney payout. The Sport Buggy prize payout will then revert to next Sport or Junior Class driver outside the TOP Ten)

You would note also from the prize payouts that you need to get up to 5th outright to match the prizemoney for first in the sport or junior class. From past events just getting into the Top Ten is tough job.
There are also the other special sections that are only for pro buggy, being the holeshot hero and FTD, and possibly a couple of other special sections yet to be announced.

Likewise the Junior class rules have been updated to reflect this also.

(Conditions apply - drivers must be unders 15 years old and a minimum of 10 entries required for the class to run. Note the buggy classes are not seperated into different heats / races, the class finishing positions for each are based on outright finishing position. If a Junior Buggy driver finishes within the TOP TEN outright that driver will then be paid the Outright Pro Buggy position accordingly and the additional Pro Buggy race fee of $50.00 wil be deducted from that drivers prizemoney payout. The Junior Buggy prize payout will then revert to next Junior Class driver outside the TOP Ten) )

I hope this suitably answers your queries, and dont hesiate to contact me if you need anything else.

Cheers
Tony
