Default Cg-340

Hello again,

My field charger CG-340 refuse to charge, I hooked up as usual and the power light (red) is lighted, hooked up the battery and press the start button but it only lighted once. It's supposed to stay lighted until the battery is fully charged which it will switch to trickle mode and the light would blink. Previously I've charged 2 batteries in series and it worked fine. To confirm the fault, I tried to connect different batteries and it's the same. I've sent it back to my local HLS in Singapore, Rotor Hobby and they said they'll send it to Taiwan (gosh ain't that far) and don't have a clue when it'll be back. Can someone care to explain what actually happened to my CG-340?

It could have been anything. Without the charger in our service dept, we couldn't even give you a guess. When it gets back to you you should have a report as to what got fixed. TTYL.

Just wondering, the charger can charge up to 3000 niMh, is it ok if I charge a 3300 ni Mh? If so what's the amp setting?

The max for that Charger is 1.5 amps.

I'm not good in maths, but I believe it can set to 3amp, max. Or, are you trying to say that it's ok to charge the 3300 niMh at 1.5amp? Enlighten me please.

You would have to use the Nicad mode for 3 amps. That would be OK but it will take 60 minutes to charge. It is not the ideal charger for that battery.

Mike.
