I have found the key to the bevel gear is to shim it and then install the drive shaft, ensuring you hold the bevel gear in place from the back side and slide the drive shaft all the way on. This will give you minimal forward and aft movement. Then work on the outdrives. Just my 2 cents.

Default Race Date

Are we looking at May 2 for a intro race date?

If we are thinking about it how about this format:

1/8 track only

SC truck 2wd brushed4 minute qual, 6 minute mains
monster truck 4 minute qual 5 minute mains (or attrition)
truggy 5 minute qual 8 minute mains
buggy 5 minute qual 8 minute mains
Max entry 2 per driver
Max total entries 30 until we get used to the system

I think we can run this pretty easy, and maybe have a bigger one for when Robert comes back later in May...

2 May works for me........Need to check on Anthony's schedule.

The classes you posted sound fine as well.

If we intend to run nitro and electric together the 8 min main may be a tad long for the buggies to make w/o fueling. If we go 6 min. we should be able to run everything w/o pit stops. Not a bad idea for 1st race. If we run them seperate the Electric can be longer.

Truggies are fine @ 8min. as they have a 150cc tank.

Wow, that's Axle nut special right there. You are now dubbed Sir Brain Fart, but I'll leave the sir part off since you don't refer to me as Mr Axlenut.

You know it crossed my mind that they looked short when you handed them to me. I'll have them with me the next time you see me, hopefully we both don't forget.

Nah, the 10 secs it would take me to pit is not gonna be enough for you to get your 2 laps back.

I was getting 5mins on my buggy when I was dumping fuel on the track from a sliced fuel line. Truggy is heavier than buggy, and may need the extra 25cc to get close to the buggy run time. I really need to do some fuel mileage testing. If I have to refuel, oh well.

i'm getting a little over 9 mins on a full tank to stall. So i think it'd be reasonable to say that 8 mins is fine.

So i take it we will be running electric cars with the nitros? I'm really hoping we can get enough for both classes to separate the two

As always Mr. Optimist...

He may be two laps behind you Igy, but even a one minute pit by you will not help his DNF...

Good info Josh...

So far, yes we will be running EP and GP together for this first race until we get the software and timing system down...
