I believe but am not for sure, I would ask John Fonataine for this probly. But the first bacth og GP's were the non sp cells and they yeilded regular numbers at the time, good runtime, 1.14 was the best average voltage usually. The second batch banged out some very good numbers 425's for runtime mostly with a lot on 1.17's and higher. The last batch, they switched to an actual shorter sized can but the numbers stayed the same. I believe the newer cells actually perform better on the track though with the same numbers.

Just a quick word on how consistant my packs have been over the last 8-5months.
I use a Pro-Trak charger at 6amps, with 0.40 cutoff.
Discharge at 20amps to 0.9v and before charging every second time I equalise to 0.6v per cell.
When comming off a charge the packs always peak around 9.1-9.2v and have a "power" rating of around 102% (which is basicly a rating of IR and 100% is set to be what you'd expect from a club level matched pack) With equalising they get around 4100-4200mah into them, without it 3650-3800.
I never bother discharging a full pack to get numbers from them, they perform on the track, not on a table
In recent months, running 19Spec outdoors, the power rating has started improving slightly, usualy ending up at 103% on their first charge of the day. I rarely use a pack twice a day but a couple of weekends ago I did and on the second charge, after atleast 2 hours rest I got 107% power and the usual peak of around 9.1v at 3600mah. This pack flew and helped me stay in the top group of 19Spec drivers who were busy beating the previous years track record...
...yet it was my lowest numbers pack, my newest pack at 5 months old but they are 1.159s, the others I have are 1.168's (the oldest) and two packs of high 1.17's.
It's just great to know that after plenty of racing, the packs show no sign of needing to be replaced. Unless Dan feels the need to hook me up with some 1.19's

Then there was the switch to a shorter cell, where number temporarily dropped slightly but soon rose back up and performance on the track seemed to be just as good if not better than the longer can cells.
SP2 may be another new label from Orion, maybe the cell specs have changed slightly again, not heard of anything yet.

Zapping
Do any of Fukuyama racers Zapp your batteries and if so is it worth spending the extra to get a zapper, Integy makes one and the price is not bad what is your comment.

TRNun, do you disassamble the packs when you send for rematch and zapping?.

The other day I was discharging my batteries with my Deans (w/ Black Box autocutoff) and one of the cells went "Pop". Now it won't charge to 3600mAh, and it's down to 3300mAh. (previously it was 3.6Ah)
I'm just wondering if I damaged the cells, because I was using a 20A discharger and I don't own an equalizer yet. And what can I do to fix the cells again?

If you can find out what cell vented, give Daniel a call at HQ. Maybe he can swap it out for you?
Sorry that it happened.

Donoman, just get a new pack and forget about all the fuss sending and waiting, use the old pack for 1/12 scale.

Just wanted to wish all of the Fukuyama users to kick some tail this weekend.
Dan, I'll be calling you regarding some deals here in south texas. I'll be in town next week so I'll give you a call.
