This just seems to be the way many TC suspensions are designed, now.

Like you explaned in your post the front shocks are mounted much closer to the inner hinge pin than the rear shocks are. this results in the front end acting much softer with the same spring. this also goes for most of the set-ups having 1hole more open piston. this is the same with all of the cars out there because the front wheel has to turn with out running into the shock, this is why the standard set-up for the car is a 12 lb pound split to make the car well ballanced to your hand on the pit board and also roll on the track. it is not completely crazy with some set-ups to run only 8lbs different or even 14lbs different. but for the most part 10-12 is standard. Thanky ou for the affirmation. I thought I was going crazy for a minute. I couldn't figure out how the rear was so stiff with such a light spring in comparison to the front untill I looked at the leverage difference through shock positioning between the two ends.
I think I'm on the right track now....

I'm proud to present you our new products for all XRAY drivers. A new spool and diff out drives from "Pat Jasmin Products".

Our spools has been tested by several drivers and the results are very very good adjustement in the car and no wear. The spool and the diff outdrives are made in aluminium with high quality delrin outdrives.
I use the diff for the first time at the GP World Carpet Cup in Switzerland and all I can say is that this parts is really very good.
The particularity of these parts is that we don't use blades anymore so it is very economic.

Who is here rans on asphalt?
I just bought a slightly used on carpet T2.
I will run it on high traction indoor asphalt track, so I would like to find out who is here rans T2 on asphalt.
I ask because I see 99% pictures of carpet ran T2s.
befor I ran TA05 with lots of hop-ups but finally decided to go to a T2.

Carpet is huge in North America, but there is a very large population around the world (and yes also in NA) that runs on asphalt...

Just received and assembled my new T2R chassis - it's looking awesome and I can't wait to drive it 
To those of you who have built it, did you notice the extra diff ball on the bolt? The manual calls for six balls but they included 7 and the diff seems to operate more smoothly with it.
Also, any suggestions on filling/bleeding the shocks? I'm probably on my 4th try to get them right....

check out the xray forum's FAQ section on FK05/T2.
very useful tips on rebuilding shocks.
i did it last week, for the 1s time ever since getting the car late last yr
