I also went with arc. 74 and 76 tooth. I messed up and got 84 tooth the first time, but you can't fit a 84 tooth spur with a 56 tooth pinion.

Hat has everyone been doing about the chubs made of glass. I broke 4 left fronts l. 2 in 17.5, and 2 in GT. About to start my main in GT and going to run with a broken one because I used all my spares.

Other than that this car is on point. The setup I put on it when I built them was a great starting point. Only minor RC and a spring tweaking to do. This car responds really well to set up changes.

Square do some excellent alloy c-hubs but they are 5 degrees. Else just use the 417 parts as they are stronger but you will need different shims etc

You can also use non carbon reinforced plastic chubs as well.

Only way I could reliably run my 418 on carpet with CRC ClikTrak was with the Square Aluminum chubs. All other brands are too thin and bent very easily. The Square ones are much more robust. The ones I used were the older style aluminum ones that needs slight modification to work with the double cardan axles. They were 4 degree, but are super hard to find now. Here's the mod I did and the clearance.

You might can find the 5 degree ones easier, but not sure if you would like the handling? I dunno, never had a set.
