uuhhh thats the HV-MAXX motor heatsink. Thats for 550 HV-MAXX brushless motors not the velociti series.

yeeeeeaah, but it looks the same, just a slightly different size, I found the 540 size, velocity heat sink on the novak site about a week ago, but now cant find it...

I'm amazed nobody is talking about the 3.5r motor?
Anyone race it? It must be crazy? Equivalent to a 5 or 6 turn brushed mod? I know Craig Drescher and someone else ran them in the A-mains at the worlds but both had thermal cut out - hopefully I dont have that problem in the UK when I get mine.
Also, is it possible to just replace the rotor in my 4.5r velociti motor to make it a 3.5r? Or as the windings are in the actual can would I need the entire motor?
The 4.5r has been proven to be the sameish speed as a good 7x1, at the recent Scottish GP (www.sdrcc.co.uk) Team Associated's Alan Bickerstaff beat Yokomo's Olly Jefferies with one in one of the A finals.

Unfortunately, the new sintered rotor does not turn a 4.5 into a 3.5 (Wow, I'd be on it in a flash if it could!)
The new rootr has better heat resistance and gives greater power as far as i know. More torque is available with the new rotor (stronger magnet..)
The 3.5 refers to the motor windings inside the can. So, it's a completely new motor really.
