I know the kit is suppose to have low friction belts. But it's kinda funny because they are the exact same belts as the stock 415. Except it has a few teeth more. Same company and all. So I really don't see how they are low friction. Not unless if Tamiya's white belts are "even lower friction" than the standard black belts. Just curious is all.
Anyways, the car is still doin great. And I've still been too lazy to take pictures of the cheap aluminum steering knuckles that I have.. hehe

off power into a turn, understeer as compared with the 1 way, plus no real braking... on-power same as a spool or 1way.

Square Ti Axles yes. The Harden Universals will direct fit rear, but for front, they require you to file/dremel down the ball end flush with the dogbone pin... Easy to do.

i like my fk04 and the quality, but when the day comes that i upgrade, i'd be interested to see what the difference is? i love the xray difs and have heaps of spares for it....
-are the yokomo diffs at the levels of quality of the xray's?
-and is the wider chassis of the BD compared to the fk05 an issue?

i have driven an FK05, but in fairness, the car wasn't mine and wasn't set-up to my driving, so maybe im a little bias, 'cause i felt that the BD cornered better, was more stable, and just downright looks damm good, right out of the box...
most x-ray owners i know boast about the fit, and quality of their kits, but in fairness, i think the BD has this covered, everything is serviceable with only a few screws to be removed, the blue anodizing looks great, no tweak issues, the arms are of heavy duty construction (no 1 has broken a BD arm yet in our track)
i'll give it to the FK's that maybe, they have a bit more tuning options (but nothing the BD couldn't do either), but with the BD, very mininal set-up change is required, this car is simply dialed on whatever track i play on.
Diffs... i never serviced an x-ray diff, so its hard to say, but as far as my diffs go, they're silky smooth.
no issue whatsoever with the widths of the chassis...

No, Square Ti axles won't fit TC/3 bones. Not the same design. TC3/4 are CVD's.... Yokomo/Tamiya/Square are not. To find Square parts and numbers, just check out www.speedtechrc.com and look under aftermarket parts, then Square, then Yokomo. You'll find them there. To fit TC3/4/IRS bones, you need the RaySpeed CVD axles.
I run my steering links upside down. I bennefit? I dunno. Lower CG and other tuning options.
