Well ran the BD with a homemade spool and locked center pulley. Ran pretty good in stock class. Got the fastest single lap time so far for Stock. My "Team mate" Ortiz out qualified me by almost 2 hundreths of a second for TQ spot. I got to drive his car after the mains. It's dialed!!!

The BD so far is a very good and durable car. I haven't rebuilt the diff yet and it's still silk smooth. Even after several runs in Mod and 19t. Carpet and Asphalt. Plus it's proven to be very easy and fast to work on. I like this car alot!

Question for you guys. Does the battery tray fit the newer 3600, 3700, and 3800 cells?

Sounds cool. I wasn't sure if they'd have another "battery tray" for those cells. But looking at mine with 3300 would explain they they are kinda "loose" in there. Might even explain why some people have problems with batteries flying out. I haven't had any issues with batteries flying out except when I was T-Boned.

Here are the parts to build a front diff: sd-501 outdrive, sd-501r outdrive ring, bd-503 diff pulley, zs501 diff thrust set, zs-506 diff rings, zs-508 diff screw, bb-85-4 8x5 bearing, and diff balls zd-505 standard ball or zd-505t carbide diff ball. Also can use zd-505c cermanics.

I would degrease the bearings regardless of what car you run. Then use a thin oil and put a drop in them.

The battery trays should work with whatever cells you are using.

The stock bearings actually already use a light oil in them, they spin really well.

If by saying "light oil" you mean "heavy grease", then you're right At least mine had the same heavy grease that all the stock yokomo bearings had in them. They spin much better if you spray them out and reoil them.

Both of my BD kits had pretty light oil in the bearings, but bieng as anal as I am, I did spray out the bearings and use something even lighter.

I was just kidding with ya the kit grease/oil is pretty heavy but it will help the bearings last a bit longer. As anal as most people are nowadays about efficiency and all I think most of us just sprayed them out and reoiled them before we even built the car, I know I did

so what is people's thoughts of the BD compared with other cars they have owned. i currently own a fk05 wich is trully awsome but i have always had a soft spot for yokomo (all exept for shaft drive), but that goes for any brand really.

The BD is my first Belt, but what I did notice is that it is very easy to work on, in fact it isn't a hassel to change any one part...well except the chassis but other than that it has very free drive train and has some inovative ideas as well. The Battery tray system is awesome...no more CA or batts shorting on CF. I do like how it already has everything with when you buy it. Also the parts aren't too expensive since a good protion of the Spares that you would want in your box have already been out for years and they aren't jacking up the price to cover retooling expences...
PLUS IT IS SO VERY CONSISTANT>>>>LAP AFTER LAP....I am faster just using this car....Even in Stock class.

So far I have stuck with the stock White and Blue. But I have seen and have been testign the Yellow and green springs as well...All Rayspeed. the Yokomo ones don't fit the spring retainers.
