Back in '79? Man you're old!! I was a kid living in Germany that year. haha Just making fun... I'm in Goldsboro. Right there next to Seymour Johnson AFB. We basically have the only good running Touring track in NC (Rosewood RC.. or the "Wood".) There is a track up in Durham. They hosted the 2003 Roar Nats. But after that, everything went down hill. Now the track is cut in half. One side is still asphalt. The other is a pill of dirt or something. Offroad kinda track. But no one really shows up there to race anymore. A few are trying to get that back up and running. There are plenty of dirt oval, concrete oval, and off road tracks around though... hehe.. Just too bad I'm not into that....

I use a Futaba S9550. I've already broken a stock servo horn. My friend has too with the same servo. So I gave him a Kimbrough Black Medium saver. I've only stripped the gears (the only plastic gear in the case) on my 9550 when I ran it in my EvoIII a few years back. That was when I also didn't run a servo saver in my car... hehe.. But lately no problems breaking any servo's or anything...

I hope not... I use a Fut 9550 as well and so far it's holding up without a servo saver. One of our members also broke the stock horns on his SDW, and that was already with a servo saver built in the stearing arms, so I just had to buy an aluminum one for the BD.

If anyone strips the one Nylon gear in the S9550 servo here is the part number (HSP78330) your local HS will have to special order from Grait Planes as a repair part but it only cost like $3.00 not the $30 for the whole kit.
I had to call Futaba direct to get the part number.
Glad to be a service......

the Excel diff was originally sold for the SD and was discontinued after the production run. hope Excel will reproduce them again. I'll keep a close watch overseas and let you guys know if and when they become available.
