Finally got her under weight, comes race ready at 1435grams, just 10 grams under, think I will add a motor fan. with a stock it is close to 30 grams light. . Took some work but got it handled. Took it up to Gilroy's carpet track for some practice the other day and she handled awesome!! Can't wait for the race. Thanks in advance for any input.

I don't have the patience to sift through the 90-odd pages at the moment, but can someone tell me exactly what would be needed to be purchased for the FK05 to run in stock/19t rubber carpet classes? I know there are a handful of things needed, it would be helpful if someone could break it down for me.
Thanks,
d

You will need some tuning springs probably a set of 20 and 22.5lb spings (~$15 for a set of 4) and maybe 25lb spings. A set of lowered suspension holders ($6.99) would also be helpful
If you don't want to tape your batts you will need the battery strap. ($37.99)
Depending on your track you may want to run a 1-way instead of a front diff, if this is the case you will need the multi-diff ($59.99)and spring steel stub axles for the front (40.99).
The above items will cover 90+% of the carpet and asphlt rubber tire conditions out there. For the other 10% of extra low bite surfaces you will want the 2mm chassis ($79.99)
Cost wise compared to the Corally it is about the same. Corally springs are about 1/3 less but the optional suspension holders are more ($34 for a set). Optional stub axles are not required with the 1-way but you will need to buy both the 1-way and spool to cover all condtions working out to about the same price and X-Ray's stub axles and 1-way. Optional chassis are a bit cheaper than X-rays but are also more ciritcal.

Anyone know if X-ray has plans to change the rear
arms to run foams? I want to get one sometime in the future, but I don't want to cut my tires or mod the arms. Anyone have any updated info about issue? Also can you use the battery strap with 3700 cells? What are some good upgrades for carpet racing and durability. Thanks guys.

For foams you have to mod the rear arm and I suggest modding it for rubber tires as well. With Rubber tires should you have a hard impact that flexes your rim into the shock end your shock will come off or break but with the modded arm you game some clearence and this is much less likely to occur.

The rear arm mod. Is that you cut the little bit off the arm where the shocks screw into so you can run the wider hole with foams without the rim rubbing on the shock
If you have the instructions it's detailed in them.

I 'll have my Fk05 back before the end of the week.
