are you sure it was anodizing? There are paints that can look very similar to anodized metals. A marble effect with that doesnt sound too hard. With anodizing id imagine it would be quite a challenge

Did you guys notice that some of the 05's at the LRP Race were using a different top deck?

That would make the car alot stiffer, the upper deck is wider and it has supports on the rear of the upper deck

I'm in the process of converting my T1 to an FK05, I'm just posting the parts list just incase anyone needs it:

FK05 Carpet build up

Item Description Part No
1 3.0mm chassis 301113
2 wide upper deck 301165
3 fk05 battery strap 306162
4 rear stand-offs 306510
5 bulkhead set 302002
6 lay shaft kit 305503
7 lay shaft bearings 940610
8 motor mount 303050
9 Servo saver kit 302502
10 Battery stops 306131
11 Rear roll center 303031
11 116T 64P spur gear Kimbro

Note: All these parts will cost a little less than a new kit, however when it's all done you'll have a fully hopped up FK05 for Carpet racing.

Have fun.

Anyone have a good pic of a receiver pack in their car? I'm going to mess around with the wiring this week...

For those that have already done this, did you notice any difference to how the car felt or reacted...will it mean any setup tweaks or just keep it as is and drive??
Drive it like ya stole it brotha. It just made it faster without changing anything.
