SLAPMASTER - 1/12th MS2.2
#362
Bring it on Jim, I can only beat who shows up. We seem to be getting into a tire war the last few weeks. I do like the aqua's though if I can get them to last the whole 8 minutes they will be great. I think the wear on aqua's are a little better than the greens. I will be doing some tinkering.

Litespeed-Dom, I checked the website but didn't find the kit. Is it a matter of just contacting them and dealing with them over the phone, or by a physical visit to the storefront? I'll try calling them today to see what I can manage, but I may need a little help from a middle-man, a local that can buy it and send it to me. I'll be glad to compensate them for their troubles. I'll update this thread with what I find out.
Thanks,
Ron Meloni

Alive and well!
Hey Gang! I just wanted to let you know that I am alive and well. I have just rented a new shop location at Rain City Raceway and I am now completely set up. Besides going gas racing all summer, I personally moved in which I lost my shop. But once again I am underway with some new changes for the Slapmaster MS 2.2. The mold will be changed so that the car will take a 1.80 minimun size front tire and steering stops will now be included with the conversion kit to stop the insides of the front wheels from breaking. Since the short wheel base car that was tested last season didn't really prove to be an advantage, it wont be offered. The good news is that Rain City is getting new Ozite carpet in the coming weeks and the track is a mere flight of steps away from the production shop. I tested at this track before, but now it will be on par with the tracks across the country. I estimated that I had a set up for 85% of the tracks around, but with the improved carpet, the new MS2.3 should be even better! I still have diff thrust bearings in stock. Production versions of the 2.3 could be ready as soon as mid Oct. If you currently own a 2.2, you can just purchase a new 2.3 chassis to be up to date. I will most likely start a new thread in rctech for the 2.3. I have enjoyed this thread immensely as many of you have chimed in with tips, suggestions or problems that were openly discussed and hopefuly resolved. People that I have spoke with, have said that they really have appreciated the advice that was given here. I know that we can keep it going. And of course... I appreciate everyones support!

Brian,
Thanks for the update. I am sure that Chris Rhodes needs a 2.3 to beat us with.
Still loving your thrust bearing adapter on both of my cars. You were right! Smooth as glass and minimal service after installing them.

Become? Has been for a long time...Especially while he is winning so much.
Our first indoor carpet race is this weekend. I expect the Three Wise Men (freshly back from the IIC) will give him some grief.
