Ya know Im not sure who made the one I have....I got it used. I believe its a GPM tc3 center one way. Do some poking around online and you will find other people who make them.

Re: Battery Strap.

We didn't include one in this kit for one reason. It's a HIGH LEVEL Factory Team car. With that, we decided that HIGH LEVEL racers look for every way to lose weight on their cars. A battery strap is one place to lose some weight, especially on the heavy side (battery side) of the car. And, with the inception of the newer 3700 and 3800 cells (which are even heavier), less weight on that side of the car only made sense.

Now, we do realize that tape is NOT for everyone, so will we be offering an optional battery strap (which should be available now). If you hate tape, you have an option.

So, yeah. There ya go.

Tony, it could be the difference between selling a TC4 Ft or another car, so include it in the box.

I have just built one for a customer. Rightly, in my opinion he wanted a battery strap. So muggins here wasted a couple of hours contriving a battery strap.

It would have been just as easy to sell the customer a Schumacher or a Yoke, and frankly if it's going to mean another hour spent assembling a TC4, then It'sbest to recommend some other kit to our customers.

Now, apart from battery straps, we ran the car today. On factory set up - just out of this world. Can't wait to build one for Josh to run.

Very impressive. well done AE. But please, racers or no racers, please can you include a battery strap.

Skip109: Part # is 31102, not 311002. Yes, the should be available now.

johnbull: At the current price tag, it is not intended for the new RC driver. That's what RTR's are for. This is a high level racing vehicle. You can compare it to certain Ferrari's. Street legal, but no creature comforts (AC, CD Player, etc). You can purchase those separately and put them in, they're just not included in the 'kit'. Same idea for the FT version.

Feel lucky, however! I had to make a MAJOR push to even GET a battery strap made! It's an option part. Plain and simple. It won't be included in any FT kits. Sorry.

You can't get air conditioning in a Ferrari? There goes that purchase. How about cup holders?

As someone who raced a TC3 for 3 years, I am seriously considering switching back to Associated by getting the FT TC4. I have been looking for comments on how the FT is with foam tires on carpet. Does anyone have any information? I haven't been able to find anything in the forums here.

The 2.5 mm chassis has me worried...even with the chassis stiffner.

Maybe some of the team drivers will know if there is a thicker chassis in the works or if should just get the BMI?

Thanks in advance!

Better comparison would be to the 911GT3 - the racer version of the 911 - no comforts at all as compared to the cushy versions. . .

I'd rather have an Atom. . .FEEL the wind.

The reasoning is pretty much what I'd expected. I'll continue to tape.

We should have more info on the conversion kit sometime this week. If you aren't already, head over to the AE site and subscribe to the newsletter and you'll get the info when it's posted.

Tony,
Have you been shipping? Is the car any better at SOCAL yet?
