Has anyone had any problems with thier tires coning under unexpected circumstances? I have tried 2, 2.5 and 3 degrees of camber all around and I get smaller diameters on the outsides than on the insides on the front tires no matter what after one run. The rears have no such problem. I have set the camber using the older integy guages and an old fashioned RPM guage with freshly cut tires. I have been truing down to 59 mm and the outsides end up around 56.5 after 1 or 2 qualifiers. I have changed three different brands of tires with different compounds and have been rotating side to side after every run. I am using this set up exactly aside from the camber changes. Any ideas? This is getting expensive!!

click set up sheets. Then choose TC4. Its the only one there.
Let me know if you dont find it. I can do a screen shot and shrink it if I have to. Thanks Jason.

Well, I don't normally advocate kicking someone in the nads but if this guy was twice my size and broke my car....

Size don't matter...just slap him in the face, try to get him in a 3/4-nelson and tire him out....then you own him! Since your smaller, chances are you are faster

TC4 fight club....out

I notice quite a bit of steering slop in my TC4. Most of the slop is at the bell cranks, the posts seem to be smaller than the inside of the bearing. The front wheels move back and forth about .090" at the surface of the tire. Does this significantly effect the performance of the car? Has anybody tried anything to fix this (like making slightly bigger diam posts)?

just gave up my Yokomo BD for the FTTC4. im sure (or hope)the car will not disappoint. i'll be glued to this thread more to hopefully get as much out of the car as possible with all your help! we usually end our racing year with a Masters Series Race where pople from different parts of the country come over to compete for the title "Touring Car Master". hopefully i'll put in a good showing with the FTTC4.

Default TC4 Steering Rack Question

Since no one on the TC3 forum was able to answer, maybe you guys can tell me. Will a TC4 Steering Rack fit on a TC3? I just did a NTC3 rack mod on my TC3 and am planning to do the mod on another TC3 chassis I have but I was told to use a TC4 Steering Rack instead because it has more turning radius than the NTC3 swing rack. Is this true? Will the TC4 steering rack fit on the TC3? Which one do you guys feel is the more superior steering system? Thanks!
