I actually used a spiral cutting "zip" bit - that worked extremely well - I mounted it to my drill press so I had more control.
I'll post some pics this evening.

Yea....maybe Ae will change the motor
mount on the TF TC4 so you could use a upper deck like the BMI one. If they changed both the motor mount and the rear chassis battery post they could use a CF upper deck like BMI, but you could lower it down to the top of the wing braces. It would have a much lower CG than the BMI deck. Then just lighten the chassis up and go with CF shock towers.

bad diff gears
Well-I finally got put in a situation where I had to dremel a diff gear thinner (white gears that are too thick). I had put it off due to worrying about doing a hacket job-but i got to tell you-it takes a minute to do and you barely take off nay material and when your done-looks like you never touched it.Whew!! I used a stone that is flat n the end. Reddish-fine stone~1/4" diameter. I took a few passes on each side-then cleaned up the holes with a hobbyknife.
Dont know why I ever bought new gears-this was too easy.

OH-and I did drive a TC4 Sunday and I came away from the drive Extremely impressed. It rotated so well-it was freakky. More like pivoted-then rotated if you catch my drift.
Like many of us said-think outside the box and eventually you'll nail a set-up on this car and he did.

Agreed, I've only had mine for a couple of Saturdays, but I could tell from the first practice run that I liked it, now I'm just doing some fine tuning to get it right where I want, & I'm positive I couldn't have gotten this close to perfect at my local track with my old TC3(I know because I tried & got nowhere). It does have to be set up a bit differently, but it is DEFINITELY responding to the adjustments I make nicely.....

Possible re-tweaking of shock towers and chassis. Nothing major but still small changes. Possible AE designed carbon top-deck.
Lightweight Steel diffs front and rear.
Slightly re-designed A-arms.
Neatest thing though, an all new Aluminum / carbon driveshaft.
All the blue-anodised bling.
Just what I've heard from a little birdie.
