i would say 24" to 30" for an average base. it seems that the thinner you go, the harder it is for the soil to retain the water.

wow really that deep with clay eh? Ill have to re-do a couple calculations in that case i was planning on a foot to a foot and a half base since it is so dense.

i think with real clay u wont need any water when it blue groves. but u will want extra to do track changes.

Hey Big Shane its Ian From 702rc. maybe this track would be a little better as far as more as having more to race. Hyjaxx how you going to run the races, ifmar or line start?

well im not set in stone but im leaning towards what i believe you are calling the ifmar start, where each racer waits for their tone to go rather then an all at once moto start. although as i said this could change as launch date gets closer.

ifmar is best, not so much bashin, how big is the track going to be?what will the pits look like? if u put pittin around the track makes for a bigger track.

the track is 45x75 but a portion of it is a huge high banked sweeper up the wall which makes it much larger. the pit space will consist of 4 long tables and for large events the 5 roller doors go up and people can pit and spectate from outside. all of this is in addition to the rock crawling, the micro rc track and the out door on-road 2 weekends a month. im really excited and cant wait for everyone to come down and have a great time.

Thanks

no, its not done yet bud, still looking at the first week in jan for our opening. although the 24 hour beta enduro i have planned as a free test and tune a few days before official opening.

As a side note i wanted to get some opinions on something. Would it be worth while to put in a few lockers for people to store their gear. That way people that drive street bikes or ride the bus would still have a way to come to the track and have some fun.

Thanks!

The tables are 4 x 20 and we will have 4 or 5 of them and for our big races we roll up our 5 doors and have track side outdoor pits.

As far as race classes go ill be having

Novice
2wheel mod
2 wheel stadium truck mod
Stock SCT
Open SCT
Open 4x4 SCT
Open 4x4 buggy
open 1/8 E-Buggy

Note that all of this is subject to change. but one thing is for certain i am truly interested in having a strong 2wheel buggy class.

Thanks!
