Im using the ones that came with the RTR kit, would a lunsford set with the rpm ends help this at all? maybe im doing something wrong. I even put lube on them like it said in Drakes article in RC Nitro, but same thing

Stripped Threads on chassis
Does anyone know how to fix stripped theads on the graphite chassis. I have stripped 2 of the 3 screws on the gear cover and 1 screw on the front diff cover.

you can either rethread using ca glue or get longer bottom cover screws. i'll try to find the exact screw measurements you'll need.

what changes should i make on todd hodge's snowbird's setup for a tight track? i was thinking normal wheelbase and less front caster.
Are the ae hexes really worth it? my hexes always seem to come out with the wheel, so they must be worn, but the price on the ae hexes .
on a side note, i'm really bummed that my local track is closing for the summer. i only got to go there 5 times . now my xxx-s has to go into storage after next weekend .

sometimes when you use 28mm tires they rub and the AE hexes are a bit thicker which is enough to help with the rubbing..

the use of the ae hexes or other aftermarket hexes were not so much used for clearance with rubbing as they were to compensate for the offset on the older style trc wheels to get the regular track width. the new trc 28mm wheels have the regular offset so you can use the stock hexes.
