Stupid question about 3000SMH Cells. I just got around to putting the packs together and amd charging them right now on my T35 and Millenium Chargers. They got done charging and the volts are at 8.83. Is this about normal? I hit start again on both chargers and they have been charging again for now 685 seconds. I would have thought they would have got done charging quicker since both chargers said they were peaked. Usually with my 2400 packs when I start the charge after they are done peaking they go for about 60seconds before saying they are done again.

Thanks

RC & Dragon-

"Diffing" can mean two things. One meaning is when the diff slips under acceleration, and makes a chirping of barking noise.

Another meaning of diffing is when the car suffers a great deal of body roll, and actually pics one of the inside tires up off the ground, this will actually unload the diff, and allow the inside tire that is off the ground to spin the opposite direction.

Mike-

Your cells will come around. They have been sitting on a shelf for awhile most likely. Give them a few cycles. You should see peak values of around 9.10v +/- .1v.

Later...

Thanks for that number. I let them all sit for 2 hours and then re-peaked them on my T35. All of them are 9.3+ V. 2 at 9.32, 1 at 9.36 and 1 at 9.39. I can't wait to run these tonight.

Be sure the charger is set for 3mv cutoff and that the batteries register a charge greater than 3000mah rather than looking at the final voltage. The packs will get better.

I have zapped older Panasonics 3000s after their voltage seem to tail off but will only use the packs now for practice. They had great RT but the voltage was softening a bit. Zapping woke the cells.

Mike Webb- Since the T35 doesn't use mv like the novak caharger set the cout off to .02 for 3000's. I would also turn on the long lock out.

I got some I'm bring down now to zap. I cycled them last week and they where only [email protected] at 20 amps. I'll see what it does after I put a 50v to them. Maybe it will wake them back up and get the IR down. Probably need to wake up some older 2400s too.

First night out with the car and I TQed and won the mod class. The car has great corner speed and is very stable. I was running Matt Francis' set up from the Roar nats. The only change that I made was to come in one more hole on the front shock tower. the car pretty much drive's itself.

Finally saw one race yesterday on carpet. Fast, and the quietest car I've (never) heard. Impressive.
