seriously: Hara is one of the 2 best drivers by a long ways and even he can't get the car in the A.....maybe they couldn't find a gear diff that fit.

did anyone see how he solved his xray fk05 spur "gear stripping" issue?

The Hara Spur gear stripping 'problem' was taken a little bit out of context in the race report. He stripped 1 spur gear after a crash in practice, maybe the motor screws weren't as tight as they should have been.

Only broke that 1 spur gear so its not really an issue.

Also HB did not have a gear diff available at the race, keep your eyes peeled for news

i've been wondering if gear diff is really that superior over ball diff. touring cars been around for quite sometime, and if it is really... i mean really.... that superior, why didn't they adapt it long before? after all GP cars have always been using gear diff, so it's not a new thing at all.

any thoughts?

You have to remember that we never used spools and brushless motors back then and know the spools give us the pull out of the corner and we don't really need the ball diff in the rear. You used to have more punch out of the corner by running a tight ball diff!! but know days diffs can be destroyed in a run just by being marginally loose. Because we now have a lot of torque delivery through the brushless motors. So in modified most guys will change their diff after every 3 runs at the most!! usually 2 and sometimes every run depending on the car!! even not checking your diff in 17.5 can upset your handling enough to cost you the race win!! Sometimes your diff feels good to but you rebuild it and your car performs better. its a strange concept but reality.

Don't forget that Hara won the last race ETS in Heemstede 5.23.2010) - I saw his TCX over there and also saw him racing at the track. From 4th position he was overtaking and winning the race. Marc was second.
What ever happend at the WC, it wasn't the new HB TCX.

Im sorry, but im not understanding.

The ETS ended at 23th of may. (check here)
The Reedy Race was between 27th and 30th of may, right?

So no problem attending both races...
