Schumacher Corner
I tried a co27 and while the dyno numbers appeared quite weak(116w at 27a), it absolutely ripped on the track. Lap times were easily .2 sec faster for each lap. For the carpet track I race at(100x50), I was geared between 6.2 and 6.5. The temperatures were in the 160-180 range.

The Reedy Entry Form is up:
Reedy Entry Form
Enter ASAP as the deadline is April 7th to get in the lottery for an entry.
If you run a Schumacher email me your name after sending in your entry and I will start a list so we can reserve a block of pit spaces together. Once we know who got in we can give up the spaces we dont need .

We may be getting a carpet track here in Southern Cali (finally) in the next few months so hopefully I'll be able to learn more about setups for the rug. It'll be good practice for Vegas too
FYI: I hate stock but choose to give it a spin yesterday just so i can get in track time. I tried my monstors but couldnt make the times i wanted. Borrowed a co27 and OMG!
I have a renewed interest in stock.

Start out at 57mm tires. This will give you good balance of perforance and wear. I have been running anywhere from 29-118 to 33-118 in stock you will probably be in the higher end of that. I should have my new stock motors this week so I will be able to let you know how much higher I geared.

The CO27 like gear...lots of gear, and is almost like a 19t in terms of power and speed. I was running a 33/116 and the motor didn't get hot (145F after 5mins). Unfortunatly, the Carpet Nats next week is using the C2.
Nats warm up last weekend was very helpful in getting some final setup work done. Thanks to Jeff Whittman for providing a sounding board for ideas. The car is much smoother and easier to drive than the old setup we were using. Looking forward to seeing the old gang again. If there is anything that I can do to help the out-of-towners, just ask! 48 more hours...

Had a good weekend of racing...found out some interesting stuff. I went into the weekend way different from PW snowbirds setup. I didnt bring a copy of it with me so I figured I would just wing it and adjust the car to the track ( novel idea huh...lol) Well I printed out a copy of PW's setup today and it was almost the same LOL. I do need to get more steering out of the car though...especially entry.
On the bright side, Fred Perkins TQ'd and won 19 T giving him the series championship and I qual 3rd and finished 4th giving me 3rd in the series. Not too shabby. The summer will be the real test. We should have alot more people running 19T.
More testing this weekend.
