Hi guys
Is still worth to get a Mi2? I might have a deal for one with some spares, my main concern is the battery placement, I heard that the Mi2 chassis would not acccept the new 3800s..... am I correct. How do you Schumi guys race with your Mi2s and 3800s batts..... Something else, what is that Teemu chassis? what is the difference with the original Mi2 chassis...
Thanks
J

The stock chassis is 2mm thick and uses an adjustable battery tray. You can get a battery tray and battery strap that will fit the newer cells from Schumacher for about $20.00. Part # U2847. ( http://www.racing-cars.com/usa/produ...ecnumber=66568 ) Now the Teemu chassis is an optional chassis that is 2.5mm thick, does not have the adjustable tray, and is much more narrow. The Teemu chassis is also available in a version cut to fit the newer cells. Part# U2846 ( http://www.racing-cars.com/usa/produ...ecnumber=66495 ) You also have the option of getting the BMI Chassis. This is also a 2.5mm chassis and when combined with the BMI flex top deck, it'll give just the right amount of flex for outdoor asphalt racing. This chassis is even more narrow than the Teemu chassis and has the cells in a more forward position than the Teemu chassis. BMI also has some really trick shock towers for the car as well. Hope this helps.

Hey PW.

Do you know if mike tapp. Will be getting this when you guys are. The MI2EC that is. I will be looking for on in the new year. That way I can order on from my LHS and now that I won't be waiting to long. Or should I just order one straight from you guy's.
Getting excited for next summer touring season.

I wouldn't get the grey belts. Use the stock rear belt and the front belt from the R12 gas car. U2601. If you're using 3700's you'll need the larger battery "ladder" and strap. I posted those a little earlier.

We would like to announce that the handout tire selection for the 2006 ROAR On Road Electric Paved Nationals hosted by Speedworld Raceway has been made. The tire selected is the RP36L supplied by Shumacher USA. We would also like to announce our current list of class sponsors; Touring Car Modified, presented by RC America/Xray, Touring Car 19 Turn Spec, presented by Schumacher USA, Touring Car Stock, presented by EA Motorsports. As always up to date information regarding the nationals can be found at http://www.2006RoarNats.com.
