Make sure you have replaced any ball cups in the steering linkage with RPM ball cups they are thicker and may run on the chassis and catch and they will require a slight tap to get past that point, and depending on the angle it could only happen going one direction....

Just another thought...

HTH
RPM are used on all ends except for the servo to the center rack turnbuckle

and also no protusion from the ball stud on the rack

i'm pretty much stumped by this problem....

If you want the best ball cups on the market....and I HAVE tried them all.....use the Schumacher ball cups. NO SLOP! Super strong (look at the abuse the Schuie's get)....

I use the Schumacher ball cups with titanium ball studs....perfect setup. These are also thin at the top of the cup....so they will NOT rub on the inside of the rims..etc..etc.

We used to use Schumacher ball cups too back in '95-'96 for our offroad cars until our LHS stopped stocking Schumacher cars and parts.

Those ball cups are hard to pop on BUT theyr'e equally hard to pop off too.

the easiest way is to unscrew the lower shock mounts then open the diff case enough to take out the front input shaft and you can then get the shaft out.

Default FT TC3 Front lower arm breakage (version2)

Hi to all,

need help. I have had my FT TC3 for about 2 months and in this time i have broken 3 Front lower arm (version 2). It happens every time my car hits the side kerb. even when off throttle (i am using 15 turn). I am curious why i keep breaking the arm so easily when it is graphite. I noticed that it breaks at the area when the suspension arm is screwed into the lower arm.

Have any of you had this problem?

Can i solve it with a stronger and bigger bumper?

Also, will after market arms be better? How about the normal arms (non graphite) be compared to the graphite ones?

Cheers

graphite will break easier, get your self a rpm bumper, it will help prevent you from breaking so many arms.

Do you mean where the shock is bolted to the front arm?

In general, the stock plastic parts will be more forgiving since they flex more before they break ... however the graphite ones are more rigid and in turn will snap easier than plastic ...

No worries on the typo ... I was just confused on the wording ... "shock" vs. "suspension" ... The car's suspension is made up of many parts, including the shock, the arm, etc. ...

just wanted to clarify what you were referring to ...
