Nice!

About your battery tray thoughts, I´m in the same situation. I can´t seem to come up with any other solution besides tape, so I´m considering the Exotek CRX chassis. Maybe you could get some ideas from checking it out?

Anyway, have any of you racing the CR experienced problems with the front gear box input shaft? Mine broke after about 20 runs on indoor carpet. I´d like a metal replacement part instead of plastic to avoid the same thing happening again, but there aren´t any around. I read that some people uses the rear metal input shaft which apparently work after some modification, but I don´t understand how to do it!

That's a nice car. I like the chassis lay out. I am in the process of building an Ofna DM-1 Spec for short track and drifting.

Default BRE Datsun

Got my graphics cut from a guy in Jersey, he does an excellent job, been doing it for many years. Anyone interested in duplicating the BRE Datsun can contact me for his information.

assuming you can get the gearing...

Tekin RSPro with v203, 2.5 BL motor and a 5000 50c lipo

but of course, the car will probably self implode with that more power thru the drive train...the car was not originally intended to be a 'pure power' kind of car, but more appropriate a good chassis to run in a spec class

Thanks for the reply. I've successfully dremeled out the two end pieces to allow a hard case to fit in, but haven't got a definitive solution on holding it in to place yet. I was thinking perhaps a long strip of velcro attaced to the top of the bottom chassis piece then wrapping around the battery and attaching to the top of the upper chassis piece? Need to find a source for some larger pieces of velcro...
