For 11T motor, use 27T pinion should be good.

HiH

Actually adding or removing from a zero bump steer position will both add bump steer. Removing will give toe out as you push the suspension, adding shims will give toe in.

The first will make your car turn in sharp off power, and loose steering mid corner, the second will make the car easier off power but give more steering mid corner. Don't change it too much as only 2mm can make your car undriveable (as i found out recently). Also don't forget that it's affected by how many shims you run under your blocks, but also by how angled and how long is your upper link.

What kind of track ? What size ? Generally this motor don't like being geared high at all, you shouldn't time it a lot or let it rev, because it throws winds (since it's machine wound, and not very well epoxy'd). Something around 7.2 should be fine.

Default Oneways

Hey, i got a 415 not too long ago and it came with a diff and a 1 way, because i race carpet, and i used to use a diff, i just put it in and raced once. Now, i was thinking i would try the 1 way just for fun, but when i put it in it jammed up my steering and the 1 way bearind didn't work(left side, the cup has a little added bump to make it wider). I find this odd because it works perfectly out of the car. I was wondering if any of you ran the 1 way on carpet, or does it give you too much steering and make the car too hard to drive. I've never used one and i was just wondering if it was worth using after i get it to work?

PS, did i make some stupid mistake because i don't have a manual and put the diff in backwards or something like that?

-I would say you have put it in the wrong way. I use a one-way where ever i can (carpet, tarmac etc), i am running one a the moment and i feels good, it give you more steering but it isn't any harder to drive.

-Thank TRF415boy and TryHard

Be sure to check that the bearing isn't the other way round. If installed correctly, both your front wheels should spinning freely forwards.

Cheer...

This is more or less what you will feel when you make this changes....
Is this true ?

I don't quite get it when he means more stability but less grip, and more traction but less stability

asw7576,

With less grip and more stabillity I mean that when the car starts to slide it's much easier to controll the slide!

Longer link will give more traction to a certain point where it will break loose more abrupt....

Kind of hard to explain, so you better try it on your car and then you will fully understand what I mean

Okey..... thanks eirik.

I think I copy the marc rheinard's setup for asphalt and have fun with it. ( That's why tamiya paid him right ? )
