I haven't been there. But mark and the guys responsible for it built timezone up in washington. Its a 1/5th scale track that's freegin ridiculous. So I ordered myself a T3 and when the new batch comes in I will build it in about 2 hours and go racing lol. Their carpet track is the largest I have heard of. That's the size of most parking lot tracks lol

So any ideas on a starting gearing? I haven't run my BMC's in version 1.5 yet. So I will be starting from scratch.

thanks

13.5 start at 4.4 to 4.6 FDR. The 17.5 start at 4.8 to 5.0, watch for temps at 3 minutes, 1 fan on motor, and readjust for heat. Goops profile on timing 6 and adjust for punch. The pulse could be a bit of a challenge for gearing, really watch your temps on that motor.

is it nessasary to run the fan on the speedo for 17.5, I would not think so because it is just a stock class. I have the worlds cooling kit on it now

I am running the v1.5

I know you need it running 10.5 and 13.5. Not sure about 17.5 as I haven't run that class yet.

Most of the guys use the fan and have it pointed towards the motor. The tap off the sc is direct to the batteries so the fans really scream and work very well for motor cooling, plus it makes for a much neater install, wires wise. You really don't need it from 13.5 up, haven't had any heat issues yet.

The gearing might be backwards. At the IIC the 17.5 ran a 3.8 fdr on a SPV3, and its sort of like a pulse, but if I where running a pulse I would change out the rotor to one of the torque units and play with gearing from there, this really woke up my pulse, the rotor in them just dosen't feel right at least for the tracks I've run on.

ok, no worries. Working on getting other motors anyhow. I usually don't run spec classes but the most competitive regional racing seems to be the spec classes lol.

so I will run practice tonight and play with some gearing. Someone direct me to a couple of esc setups and I will play around and see what I can come up with. I run a Novak 17.5 in TC on carpet. The track is 75x45. I will let you know....

Unfortunately I do not since I mainly run 1/12 Scale 13.5, although I would look back a few pages and see if my Bud Goop had posted anything!!!
