the SR has a Silver can with a Green Lable that says SR on the bottom...also you might want to try the LR ....it has tons of RPM and draws even more amps... ...but I don`t like how Laydown brushes have a little to much breaking power for my likeing

about every 4-6 packs.... just a light skim...thats it also I don`t recommend going beyond 7.0mm on the new Yokomo 23T stocks..because you loose tons of torque

told by ppl that the lower turn the motor is better/ faster... but fr this thread, seems 23T is very good/ fast motor...

anyway, is there anyway to know how many turns is the motor (if there is no label at the motor)?

is mod stand for modified?

Lower turn motor has higher RPM but lower in torque.
stock motor, 23 or 27 has lower RPM but high in torque.

You can take a look at the armature shaft (where u tighten your pinion). For some motors, the spec is written there. For some other motors, you can find it printed on the body of armature.

Yeap, mod means modified.

Yep.... I just took it down to 7mm last night.. I have put about 25 packs through my SR and ...I just noticed a huge torque loss Oh well time to get a new rotor...after a few more packs...also I`m going to mess around with LT and LR also the new ECHO motor that comes out today.... I`ll have to take some pic`s of the com...it`s nothing like you have seen before

Different style brush styles in the same motor will yeild a different current dram..in amps and a few other things I`m learning about now....for example I can make 8min with the SR easy...but with the LR I start to loose power and dump at the 7 min mark.... but both are awesome
