The screw kit will be available very soon from AE, we are just waiting on a few of the screws to arrive. As soon as they are ready we will make a press release on it.
The R5.1 pod parts are all available, there was a slight delay on the graphite part but everything is now in.

Thanks a lot. If I could get one last thing, part numbers? For the screw kit, and complete rear pod for the 12R5.1.
Thanks

For the part numbers, go to www.rc10.com and you'll find them all. Except for the screw kit. If they haven't even announced it, there won't be a part number for it.

Firstly.. Gidday..
Just bought my first 1/12 pan, so may be after some advice..
I got the AE of course,
GTB Series 1, cut the fins off the cooler.
Novak smart boost
1 Cell 5000mha Lipo
17.5 or 10.5 tekin brushless
Magenta fronts
no rears yet
So... what gears should i put on? The track is rather long, and bitumen.
Which motor would run better?
Smart Boost... Is the output voltage to the motor 6V? not 4.8V on the 4 cell NMHi? Therefore motor should spin faster?
Building it in the next week or two, so want all parts here before i start.. LHS is another town away.
Any help appreciated

This is what i was talking about before Jas
https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...s&pn=SMC450RCP
I've got Paragon traction compound on the way, so see how that goes before you buy any. other than that, for the 10.5 i bout a 74 tooth but now have a 69tooth spur since my pinion wouldnt fit. dont know about the 17.5. i say put the 10.5 in, its surprising hw the faster you go with these little cars, the easier they are to drive. I'm gonna buy the associated springs too cause its doing my head in having the CRC ones (all colours are different to AE) so you can have the CRC ones to get you started.
P.S. watch those corally plugs

For tyres guys you may also want to try speedmind tyres. They are a larger diameter so they can be a pain to fit on the car. Also they kind of arent really legal for racing on the standard R5 because it makes the track width too wide.
Ive ground down the left axle hub on a spare i bought and also the brushless cone for the right and it gets to legal width but the wheels are not centered. Need to spend more time getting it down.
But to get you guys started the bigger width tyres apparently give more traction and you get loads more life out of them.
There is a guy in sydney selling them, you might want to hit him up and get a couple to do a test? (http://www.rctech.net/forum/members/tl2111.html).
I found that the speedmind fronts have less traction but were a lot more consistent than running jacos (but im a complete noob!)

Mangoman,
could you post your entire asphalt setup for your 12R5 since we live in the same country we may have same condition tracks. Even if your a noob, i'm a noober..... I'm gonna buy the double pink fronts to try aswell as a set of speedminds and some GRP (another guy here said they were good for low grip asphalt.
how does yours drive? do you use drag brake on yours or just the trigger?
thanks
Alex

12r5.1
The top pod plate is available on the associated website #4688...i received mine thursday and raced my car last night with the conversion and it worked like a charm....i had a 12r5 and converted it into the 12r5.1...i have not added up everything but it is cheaper than buying a new car..especially when I had one almost brand new already....
