Hey... I have a m05 and have broken one of the stock dogbone driveshafts.... One of the pins snapped off... I don't really want I pay the 40 bucks my lhs wants for the upgaded universal shafts.... And I can't get the stock driveshafts through my lhs. What can I use as diveshafts? Is there any other option other than the stock or upgraded ones?

Depends on rules at your track.
If it is all Tamiya then start with:
M-grips radial at the rear and S-grips at the front.
Red springs at the rear and white hard at the front.
I use 400 oil from Tamiya in the shocks with 3 holes at the rear and 600 at the front.
No toe in at the front but neutral or 0.5 /1 degrees toe out.
I myself don't use the toe in rear hubs but have them at 0 degrees.
Ride hight front at 5 mm and at the rear 6mm.
If you use the gear diff then put some AW grease in there.
It has almost the same effects as a ball diff and with less hassle that it rips the spline's of the diff cups
Try to put all electronics inside the chassis as it lowers the centrall point of gravity and that helps a lot.

Hi Bodywerx_rc, box stock the M05pro is good. I just add S-grip tires all around plus traction compound (i.e. NASA). Red spring front, white rear. Ride height 5mm. Camber link on the lower hole on the aluminum rear hub. 1 deg camber. hope it helps. ty.

I see that many people use S grips at the front ! Is S-grip the softest radial tyre from Tamiya.

actually i think you will find its the other way around
m-grip is soft
s-grip is med
kit is hard

If you race carpet, M grips have more traction than S grips, but traction rolling can be a problem. On pavement, it depends on track temp; M grips are better at lower temps.
i would always use M grips over S grips , i have never got a set of S grips to work as of yet , all thought they do last for ever and the M grips are pooped after one good days racing outdoors

Need some help with a TAO3 ball diff install. I assembled the diff, reassembled the car and when i throttle up it pushes the dog bones out disengaging from the front axles. I tried removing the rubber O rings because i thought there was a clearance issue and it didn't help.
Any suggestions?
